Wine está por la 5rc según los paquetes test de MX linux y por ahí leí que tiene compatibilidad con bocha de juegos, pero la verdad no me puse a toquetearlo porque tampoco uso mucho la máquina para jugar (salvo juegos viejos como el Diablo 2 de vez en cuando). Si se que se usa winetricks para simplificar el proceso de instalación Podés probar con algunos creados con unity de GameJolt, a ver qué onda.
Para los que se quedan cortos con Wine, está Proton que es un fork de Wine, el cual es capaz de mover juegos de Windows en Linux y es compatible incluso con Vulkan. Tiene también integración con Steam lo cual hace que ejecutar juegos sea bastante ágil. El sitio PC Gaming Wiki incorporó el campo "directorio de juegos salvados en Protón" para varios títulos, lo que da una idea de su difusión.

Mmm me mataste, yo acá lo estoy usando con un KabyLake, que teoricamente era incompatible (de hecho x default me vino con el 10), no miré mucho pero me parece que es posible, habría que ver, sinó podrías probar QubesOS, hace tiempo vi gente podia usar el IOMMU de AMD (VT-d, de intel) para hacer PCI passtrough y correr juegos sobre un WIndows corriendo de guest arriba de Xen.
Si usas steam hay hay bocha de soporta para juegos en linux (yo torrenteo por eso no es una opcion para mí, pero de ultima…)

Linux es sólo un kernel y está mucho mejor escrito que Windows y que Mac. El problema que hay son con los desarrolladores de juegos, que no le dan soporte a Linux porque no tienen ganas.
Lo mismo pasa con las empresas que desarrollar los drivers de las tarjetas gráficas. Lo único que tiene que pasar es que más gente desarrolle juegos, pero si no jugás Gnu/Linux con Ubuntu, Manjaro, Linux Mint, o cualquiera de esas distros es mucho mejor que Windows.
Ah y también hay software que está en Mac como toda la basura de Adobe que no está en Linux, por eso los diseñadores gráficos usan Mac en su mayoría.
Conclusión: si te dedicás al backend o simplemente usás la computadora para el trabajo y hacés todo dentro de un navegador entonces cualq. distro de Linux es mucho mejor que todo lo que existe. Si te dedicás al frontend o editor de videos entonces Mac. Si jugás y te gusta diseñar entonces Windows xd.

No, los juegos pirateados que son repacks de FitGirl y los cracks de CODEX no funcionan con Wine. Los últimos no funcionan porque obfuscan y esconden su código con VMProtect, una mierda recontra mil propietaria que no va ni pa trás en Wine, y FitGirl es un misterio porqué no va, seguro por alguna de las cosas que usa >ella para comprimir lo juego.

Si lo instalaste y no te deja actualizar por que te tira que el micro es incompatible instalale wufuc y dps mandale los parches para que te habilite los updates para 2023 dps te sigue bajando todo por windows update lo mas bien

Yo lo puse en una notebook de un familiar el 10 LTSC pero sigue siendo re botnet hay unos procesos que son como duplicados de otros que corren con un nivel de privilegios que no te deja deshabilitarlos o desactivarlos aunque seas admin, weird shit, termine mandandole PureOS que es un linux asi bien for dummies y GNU/GPL friendly (tuve que intalar un par de drivers propietarios a manopla (wifi e intel_microcode (para tener parcheados meltdown spectre y otros vulnerabilidades) por que no los tomaba x default)
