If you research everything you can do it pretty well. You need to research everything and have enough money for the business venture. You also need to be prompt in contact. That means being online during business business hours in China.

I also recommend the business Pack and Send, if you have one nearby or your area is serviced by them. I needed to send a package overseas around Christmas and wanted it sent over there fast. The price from Australia post for 1-2 day postage was $100+ and 3-4 day postage was ~$70. At Pack and Send they did it for under $60 and I paid the higher price that a few dollars more for 1-2 day postage. It arrived in that time frame and this was a week out from Christmas. I am guessing so because the case would have fell apart when he was able to produce all the required documentation. From when I heard the guy was obsessed with his gun collection, it was his pride and joy. He knew what guns were taken as he work through the whole process to import them. I am guessing there may have distinctive marks and he told them that some of them were not his guns, even though they were in a better condition from his perspective. They said that was what they were ordered to give back those guns. The haul of guns wasn't the odd shotgun and pistol, this guy had hundreds of guns in his garage. He was an avid collector.

These people exist? Years ago I used to use an old Windows XP install disk to repair the operating system by overwriting it instead of re-writing the partition then doing a fresh copy of the OS. Every single fucking repair shop just reformat the hard drive because it was easier and reinstalled the operating system before that.

They can be expensive and useless. If it is a mechanical issue with the drive the best bet is getting a new hard drive. Then getting an external hard drive case and extracting the data of it.
