ITT: share software that are used to manage or share your stash of anime
I will go first, Hydrus is pretty good for downloading 8chan thread and image galleries. >>>/hydrus/
If you are more of a person who browse using phones then I would recommend BooruNav for android, Mignori on iOS, or AnimeBoxes for both platforms.

Tell that to the academic who made a faster version of the Super-Resolution Convolutional Neural Network and had to quickly come up with a name conveying this for his paper. Yes, it's an awful name but you're expecting too much from the fags obsessed with neural networks generating things for them.

That's actually quite nice bait. There is, however, room for improvement.
You should have League of Legends or Overwatch open so that it shows at the actionbar. You need atleast one of the tabs open to be reddit, preferably something like /r/cuckolding.
The cuckchan tabs you have open could also use some work. /adv/ is good since it's normalfag central, but you should've also had some gay shit open. They've got an /lgbt/ board, so that's a possibility.
Lastly, music - you should've had a youtube tab open, or a musicplayer running, playing some bullshit like something from the Bleach OST.
With this advice, I expect your next bait to be even greater.

If you want SVP, they have a guide for using it with mpv at https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:Linux and https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:mpv . I recommend MPV's oversample approach instead, which prevents 3:2 pulldown judder (inconsistent frame timing from watching a 24Hz video on a 60Hz monitor) without artifacts or the soap opera effect by inserting blended frames between real ones. It's a little more complicated than that and works better than it sounds, but here's the config lines needed to make it work:
video-sync=display-resample
vulkan-swap-mode=fifo-relaxed #change this to opengl-swapinterval=1 if you're using opengl
tscale=oversample
interpolation=yes

No shit, really? I'm surprised that shit can be done with regex at all. If you actually want to do things properly, you'll find that regex has surprisingly little use. But it is very useful if you want to do something quickly or niggerrig something that will work for majority of standard use cases.
The advantage of perl is, it's everywhere and it will almost certainly work because of great backwards compatibility, though I admit it's not the most readable. It's ideal if you kinda want to do something in shell, but shell is not quite enough.

mpv was made for people who prefer keybinds, config files, and launch options over a GUI. It's a great no-distractions media player which just werks out the box and you can get top-tier video playback quality with a few lines in a config file. This is my entire config and I could easily trim it down to a single line (profile=gpu-hq) if I didn't want png screenshots or oversample interpolation:
screenshot-format=png
video-sync=display-resample
vulkan-swap-mode=fifo-relaxed
profile=gpu-hq

say your file data is a can of coke in the office fridge. a piece of tape on that can with your name on it would be the file name. if you put another piece of tape on that can with say, your nick name, that would be a hard link. however if you wrote "look at the tape (one piece, not both) to see whose coke this is" on a piece of paper and set the can on top of it, that would be a soft link.
if you take off the first piece(or second) of tape with your name on it, everyone still knows it belongs to you, since the can still has your nickname(real name) on it.
but if your paper said to look at the first piece, and its gone, the paper is broken.
Is this a good analogy? also please get a drawfag to draw one out if it is the case.

hardlinks are not portable by nature (can't move across file systems), I am asking if there are programs that allows you to systematically move them to not break it.
If you move the directory of the Hydrus folder, then the inode may change if it is between file systems i.e. separate disk e.g. external HDD.
If you move the hardlink "file" it would definitely work, but it can never escape the file system in the first place.
WHAT IF I am moving both the original directory AND the hardlink to a new HDD? Something would need to happen to make it work.

I don't use any additional software to organize it, I just the normal filesystem. The whole directory structure is, by now, engraved into my brain.
For watching videos I use MPV, for images, depending on what OS I'm on feh or Irfan View and ranger is a good file browser.
The most useful tool for downloading stuff is wget, for example for scraping all the images from IB threads. It doesn't work well with ddos protection though.
There's also a tool called httrack that I use on sites where wget is missing files, it did a good job making a local mirror with working links of one of the big manga/scanlation sites. It doesn't change links in JS/xhrs though and doesn't have a option to completely strip JS.

After that I have a bunch of specific folders like "manga", "anime", "bane", with subfolders when applicable. For instance I have an "Evangelion" folder within "anime".
I also separate images from videos. It's not about organization as much as it's keeping the numbers of files and files of roughly different sizes in different folders, because filesystems don't play well with highly varied sizes and file counts.
