Holy shit, i can't state how much the author put so much care into the world and the story.
For example, Magic in the world is scarce since only people that have genetic affinity for them are able to use it, even then they are weaker in the outside world since they don't have the same amount of mana concentration as the dungeon has, and that's not even counting how fit your body would need to be to cast spells. How people are able to be revived in dungeons are explained as well, being that dungeons are an anomalous ecosystem (kind of like STALKER's Zones) where everything is ran by magic, their soul can't easily pass on as they would in the outside world.
The author got a definite basic setup of the foundation, but the technicalities (like rituals or spells) are somewhat vague. It's kind of weak when compared to the 'mechanics' but it's not the point of the mango so i don't really care.
Now the story changes its tone alot, kind of like Golden Kamuy. I mean at first, it's looks as if it's a dungeon crawling manga with a focus on food. Then after the Red Dragon, it turned into some sort of fantasy adventure (with a focus on character) with after action food pron. Finally the whole series took a turn into some sort of 'power struggle' between Laius and the Elves (both of them). Even then i don't think i can trust the Winged Lion since it's too good to be true.
Still it's nice to see a depiction of practical conservation in fantasy, you know where conservation doesn't limit itself to just protecting the environment but also the people who lives in it.
It'll be a nice 6 year run, truly a quality over quantity piece.

I think you have to have some vagueness when you do fantasy world building, if you attempt to explain every minutia of every fantastical element you're going to hit a snag eventually that just brings your whole setting crumbling down.
Explaining the broad concepts and leaving the fine details to fan speculation is a great way to foster community discussion and not only that it gives you some wiggle room if you decide you want to introduce a new concept later on.

That really depends on the author though, some authors, like Tolkien fleshes out the world so much that the average reader can be immersed in the setting without having to think about the world itself too much. But Tolkien already have an excellent world building base from the get-go, since he took care to make Middle-Earth as much as a fantasy world to the story themselves. I mean look at history, the races, the geography, and even down to the language.
Then again it's a piece of literature, so it still does leave alot of the visual parts up for interpertation.
