Who's making these videos and why are they so immensely popular? Some comments are saying it's weird, regardless of that they seem to enjoy the videos and all of the videos have majority likes
If they are just being watched for the weird factor, I doubt there would be so many of them and constant requests for part 2s and part 3s in the comments

I doubt that, at least for the videos I watched.
It genuinely looks like it was made by a child, maybe around 10 years old. It's rushed and lacks focus, just like a child attention span.
Children love to show off, be drawing a picture to put on the fridge, showing you their toys or using mom's Ipad to make these videos.
In this age period, during the transition from childhood to teenager years, they may feel some nostalgia and want to be a baby again and that's how some of them express it. It's not like how we face baby roleplay or using diapers.

The problem with calling it an "elaborate ruse" is that any contrary evidence will just be a part of the mastermind's master plan. I don't think it's all one guy. These videos have different design senses for the characters, different degrees of sexuality, different ways of depicting things like being carried, different fixations, writing styles, etc. But if it's all one guy trying to masquerade as multiple people, and he's doing a good job of it, of course they all would be different in those ways.
No, I imagine it's something as simple as either
a) one popular gacha life video spawning a lot of young imitators or
