Say I'm wanting to write a novella to you know, have something to do over the weeks, and let's say that I don't know what to put in other than diapers. What would you want to see in such a length story? (17,500-39,999 words aiming for around 20,000ish)

A scifi story would be great. Make up the lore as you go, don't be confined by traditional stories. Any additional fetishes or means of diapering can be done, even the extreme ones.

Well…simple really. Once you add magic or magic related tropes into a story, all semblance to reality goes right out the window and your writing will get for lack of a better term: lazy. Run into a problem: magic. Need something done: magic. Anything at all: magic.

That's a very simplistic view of things, one can make conflict when the world has been shown to have magic in it, perhaps unlimited ability to use magic, Hypno or mind control would cause what you're talking about.

That would obviously not be how one would set up a world if they wanted it to last for 20,000 words, any magic if that is included or clarctech would have to be something that the main character or those effected don't fully understand, and possibly in their quest to undo [but ultimately ending up worse off] the effects they could learn some things. Heck, it could even be a corruption story and though learning of how to do what was done to them they start doing it to others.

Now that's out of the way, I've got to say you guys are terrible at this… two days into this and all we've gotten is a vague genera and what not to do, if we're doing sci-fi I need to know what kind [Conolization, military sci-fi superheroes space opera]

I need some characters, who's this hot and sexy babe that'll be the face of the story and what's her deal? Who's the villain and if they're not using X or X what are they using?

offer world building ideas, I just need a seed of an idea to grow into something

A story with a good magic-system won't allow absolutely anything to happen, otherwise, like you said, it's shit. There has to be limits so that the reader doesn't see every new use of magic as a deus ex machina.

I've always wanted to see something that would explore (in some area) the effects of widespread diapering in a society in a somewhat realistic way. That's not exactly fap-fuel though. I had an idea once where women are treated like babies until their 30s that I found pretty interesting.
