Any incontinent DLs here?

How do you conceal your diaper at work?

How do you hide your diaper, when you have group-changing-rooms?

I wear baggy pants.

We don't have group-changing-rooms, when I need to change my diaper at work I use the disabled stall.

My employer knows I am disabled.

I'm a metal worker so I wear overalls at work. Also my boss knows. I only got issues with holding my pee, so it isn't that problematic. Also it isn't like I'm fully incontinent, just not able to hold that well. I'm sure I'd be able to live without diapers if I just regulated my fluid intake and took regular breaks. Anyway. I just wear them under my slacks. Then just change in to overalls. No big deal. If I need to change during the day, I just use the dressing room toilet. I keep fresh ones in my backpack, then have a plastic bag there where I put the wet one. Also I don't wear fetish diapers at work. Just plain Tena's.

I'm fairly sure that most of the people at workplace know. But nobody really brings it up. During our career most of us have witnessed at least one industrial accident which has either killed or maimed someone. I haven't, but I'm just 21, so I assume I'll witness mine soon enough. So, we really don't have the habit of joking about that stuff.

It really isn't a problem if you are used to it.

Now. If you want to do this. Then go about it respectfully, keep in mind some don't have a choice about this, so you'd better not stain the name for the sake of your fetish, because that is a colossal dick move. What I mean is, that if you piss or shit yourself, you go change. You don't subject your co-workers to anything unnecesary.

Also, you better get used to the potential awkwardness it might bring.

Well, I have nerve damage from an incident when I was younger. sometimes I just can't hold it. and I've accepted that in some jobs someones probably going to find out sooner or later, one manager I was friendly with literally walked in on me changing. She's still a good friend and she is fully aware of both my medical need and the fact I'm also an ABDL. In another workplace one boss told me my nappy was showing above my waistband and asked if I needed any adjustments to make the job easier for me. People aren't inclined to be rude or gossipy about it in adult life. Just be discreet as you can. If you have group changing rooms then just ask if you can have access to the disabled bathroom instead, workplaces are legally obligated to let you if theres a need. and nobody is really going to ask for you to prove you piss yourself.. if you wear discrete medical diapers you could probably cover them with longer boxers also

This is so fucked up. It is one of the reasons why I tried to avoid job where you work manually. Or basically any job that has anything to do with people.

Eh… You could just aswell trip and hit your head on your desk. I know that such thing has happened recently, because in our last safety training, our trainer brought such thing up and showed us the report relating to it. (Really the only interesting thing about these regular safety training lessons is to hear about the accidents.)

It isn't like my job is particularly dangerous, according to stats working in a kitchen is way more dangerous. But in my case results tend to be more… spectacular.

And it's usually the 50's something that have had career where nothing bad has happened who got the "Yeah nothing bad has ever happened" and they tend to be the ones who get in to the accidents.

But most of the time the injuries are 2nd degeree burns, someone losing a finger tip, cutting open their palm,or dropping something on their foot. Or slipping or tripping on something. Very basic stuff, but the results tend to be nasty.

You are more likely to be injured in a car accident on the way to work than in work.

I need clothes / underwear that hide my diaper better.

I'm afraid my coworkers might get suspicious when my butt grows suddenly bigger.

Don't wanna make a thread for this so I'll just ask it here. For anyone who's incontinent, how did that happen? What is the most common reason for incontinence outside of old age? Some kind of birth defect? Freak accident? Rare muscle condition? I'm genuinely curious

Outside of old age, the most common reason is (for women) childbirth, and for men, prostate issues, although I can't imagine that either of those things could affect someone on a chan (who'd be in their teens-20s/30s). So, aside from those, the causes could be a birth defect or an accident, and it doesn't have to be a 'freak accident' either, it's not too hard to sustain nerve or muscle damage in that area if someone crashes his car hard enough. I undertook group therapy when I became incontinent as a kid, and there was a surprisingly diverse cohortthere were kids who were disabled, then there were the ones who seemed completely normal from the outside, like me: a stranger would have had no sense that we were incontinent. Incontinence is one of the strangest diseases to have as it's so stigmatised (I suppose I understand the reason) and no-one imagines someone above the age of 5 and below the age of 70 could wear diapers. That's one of the most difficult things in discussing it. Incontinence is just one of those things you have to manage, and I find ABDL really helped my self-esteem when I was just coming to terms with itnow I can revel, at least some of the time, in my wearing 24/7.

It's also not spoken about a lot because it's a bit sad, but there's a connection between childhood abuse, mental health issues and incontinence… it sounds strange, but it is a real loss of control, not simply attention-seeking; there have been studies undertaken, all the rest. It doesn't have a physical cause however, there's no actual muscle issue, so it generally mends itself gradually as the person's mental health is mended.

In terms of things like enuresis, that's common and often has no real 'cause' as such, someone starts to bedwet in their teens for no reason and continues on. It seems to run in families, which makes sense. Although enuresis isn't defined as incontinence, even though it operates in the same way. People with enuresis don't always go to the doctor because it doesn't impact on their lives enough.

For me, I was operated on when I was a kid and a mistake was made, and it was supposed to fix resect the bowel (a bit like when someone has Hirschprung's disease--although I didn't have that) to fix encopresis, but it led me to become incontinent, which is ironic (although I never appreciated the humour until later on…).

I forgot to mention, seizures can cause muscle spasms and incontinence, I've seen a girl wet herself when she seized up. I don't know if that counts because it's sporadic rather than daily.

BTW, in terms of untraining, untraining isn't genuine incontinence but it's functionally the same as being incontinent. You guys are alright, abdl diapers are way better than disposable

I was potty trained a bit after two years old without any issues (besides IBS) until I turned eight. Started having infrequent wetting accidents that gradually got worse over time. Was first put in pads (which didn't really help), then good nights during the day, and finally diapers about a year later (good nights would sometimes leaked which became a bigger problem when I started having more frequent accidents). Was eventual found to be an autoimmune disorder where my body attacks and aggravates the lining of by bladder causing spasms. Apparently it's very rare in kids and seen more in post-menopausal women. I don't have any pain, just suddenly an uncontrollable flooding accident with almost no warning. Diapers have been the only effective way of managing it, and isn't a big deal as an adult. But growing up in diapers was no fun.

I always have a mixed reaction to hearing stories like this. On one hand, it triggers the ABDL response in my head, but on the other hand I just feel bad for the poor kid growing up like that and I just have this instinctive desire to want to try to help them and make them feel better about it and all that.

I've been incontinent for most my life I went through all of elementary middle and high school and work in diapers. Don't wear fetish diapers to work just wear some tranquility plastic back taped style tell boss about it and use handicap stall where cargo pants or baggage jeans or shorts and I recommend to tuck it your shirt

I'm the same way… my initial thoughts jump straight to ABDL fantasies, but then I think about if I had to wear diapers 24/7 and how that would significantly preclude/complicate normal everyday events. Makes me appreciate the diaper punishment fantasy a little more (unrelated to incontinence).

I actually have IBS and also take Vyvanse and eat a lot of spicy food lol so I've had quite a few (a lot more recently) accidents. I introduced my wife to ABDL and originally I was diapering her, but she didn't fall in love with it. However, once she discovered some of my underwear that fell victim to some of my accidents, she took the opportunity to start diapering me, which included wearing them to work (luckily what I do is mostly an office job that doesn't put me at risk of being found out, but with quarantine, we've been at home a lot more.

So recently, she decided to punish me and put me "back in diapers" for 10 straight days with absolutely no bathroom privileges. 98% of it was absolutely amazing. But that 2% really makes me appreciate the life of those who are incontinent. My hat tips to you guys and I can only imagine how aggravating it is for some ABDL's to be dismissive to how frustrating/inconvenient your condition is.
