Mushrooms are something I've never managed to get myself to like. Different kinds, cooked different ways, nothing. It's not just mental either, since there have been plenty of times I've eaten dishes not knowing they had mushroom, and disliked it without initially recognizing that that was what it was.

As I understand, oiran were high-class prostitutes trained in not only sex but also culture. They were trained to play instruments and educated enough to have a high level of cultural refinement.
