Around the the year 1350 was the peak of the second Black Death. On several occasions from the 1200s to 1400s, there were occurrences of dancing mania. In the late 1400s, there was a concept called Danse Macabre, or Dance of Death, which was an allegory that we are all united in the dance of death. (I've long wanted to explore the subject of dance in religion and magic but I don't have the time right now for that.)
Covid-19 is made out to be some kind of plague and nurses are encouraged to dance. Coincidence? Correlation? Ritual? Someone I watch on YouTube brought up a good point, nurses are usually extremely busy people as it is, yet in a time of crisis, they have the time to rehearse dance. Discuss? Opinions? This year is pretty strange and this topic could be worth exploring.

Trump once referred to the virus as a curse. So I could also see the dancing as some kind of exorcism ritual. Just looking at those nurses in those pictures is really bizarre though. It may be that nurses are encouraged to dance as this is a way for them to relieve tension after the stuff they have had to deal with on a daily basis.
Regarding the whole dance of death thing. Maybe this is some bleak humour on the part of the person who came up with this saying.
The idea that Death is playing a fiddle and those who hear him are compelled to join in irrespective of social status or position in society. After all, this event affected everyone.

Somewhat realted: Some months ago, (pre-covid, so only quasi on topic), there was a TV show on Swedish state TV, featuring suggestive dancing to the reciting of an article or something like that, about the cuckoo bird. Darkie men dancing agressively in front of swedish girl, while the narrator talks about the clueless victim bird nurturing the cuckoo chick.
