OP of >>56648 here, I found out more about the album of pics. Apparently it's from the US submarine "USS Trepang" (SSN-674). The photos were taken by one of the crew members when coming in contact with the supposed UFOs. This occurred between Iceland and Jan Mayen Island in the Atlantic Ocean. I doubt saying any of this will get me in trouble since this shit is on the clearnet but who knows, gg.

That big long thing was explained as a target balloon for ships to shoot at. They float it out there and inflate it with a compressed gas cylinder then shoot at it. It has ropes holding it down and is filled with helium so it floats… But idk
