Good day, dear /x/.

Right at the beginning I would like to apologize if this is the wrong board for my thread. I beg your pardon in advance.

For a long time I am interested in this topic and have become aware of several people who deal with it. These include, in my view Michael Tellinger, Graham Hancock, Lloyd Pye, Zecharia Sitchin, Erich von Däniken, Klaus Dona and Michael Cremo.

If I understood the works of these men properly, it is believed that many years ago (~ 500,000) a, shall we say, other race names Anu or Anunnaki visited Earth to search for gold. Since this activity was difficult to achieve on their own, they needed some kind of working class. They knew that there is on earth a certain animal (in this case, Homo habilis), that they can genetically change and thus became the first human being(s). This was done according to the testimony of these researchers in the African continent.

I am writing this message because I'm interested in opinions of other people and I would like to learn something new. What do you think about this theory? Is something truth behind this, or absolute nonsense?

Isn't that just Sitchin's theory? I don't think Michael Cremo would agree with it, since he believes that humans have existed for hundreds of millions of years and we are basically incarnate spirits. Graham Hancock has never said anything about aliens, but he believes in 'plant teachers' (DMT elves) and I think he subscribes to McKenna's theory that smoking mushrooms is what made us humans (the so-called 'stoned ape' theory). So we're dealing with very different stories of mankind's origin… the only thing they all have in common is that they're 'alternative' theories. If Sitchin is right, then Cremo and Hancock must be wrong and viceversa.

Personally, I like to keep an open mind and not become fixated on any single scenario. The only thing that seems obvious to me, is that we're not alone on this planet, and we've never been. Today's aliens are yesterday's gods and demons. But what role did they play in our history? Where did they come from? If it turns out they created us through genetic engineering, then who created them?

Ancient Alien stuff. I think the author, Sitchin (sp?) translated the clay tablets from Sumer and found this story. I prefer the timeline.

I've read all books published before Stitchin's death on the subject.

I'm prone to believe to his theory: too many times we've had witnesses who narrated something strange, or "otherworldly".

I think people of the past saw the exact same things we're seeing today, just labeled them with different names.

Also, I still need to see convincing evidence for the rise of homo sapiens: through natural selection alone, we should be years behind what we are now.
