Otóż wcale nie, największe przeskoki zawsze fundują konflikty. Porównaj sobie życie przed pierwszą wojną i po niej. Praktycznie nie da się odróżnić 18 od 19 wieku, ale pierwsze 30 lat XX to przeskok jak średniowiecze do nowożytności. A potem druga wojna i nagle mamy współczesność, która się nie zmieniła praktycznie do momentu upowszechnienia telefonów a potem internetu
Oczywiście zrównoważony rozwój jest ważny, ale w miarę długi pokój w pierwszym świecie osłabił ludzi. Dziś mało kto by sobie poradził odcięty od prądu i sklepów, abstrahując od faktu że nie ma na tyle ziemi uprawnej żeby każdy mógł nagle złapać za motykę i samemu się utrzymać.
Natomiast ogólnie ludzkość wyszłaby na tym Dobrze, pod warunkiem że utrzymali byśmy dostęp do high tech
