try league of maidens, its very dumb fun, has action combat and… well, just look at it… (i think its made by a 3 man team of guys in hk) you can grind for most items (so don't spend money unless you want something really bad).

I'd recommend black desert online, it has what you're looking for gameplay wise and also the best character creator of any game that I know of so long as you aren't expecting nipple sliders like the glorified porn game that is league of maidens. Heres an example of the #1 loli in NA, I dare you to try and do better.

I guess the face and eyes still look a bit off to me. any video of somebody attempting another loll style build with the same character creator? (or maybe some shots of that character in game with different lighting?)

I have been meaning to try black desert online, but I haven't had much time to game lately, I also hear the sequel is coming out soon.. feel like I might have missed the boat (just like I did with guild wars 1 and 2)

Thats blade and soul which is another example of an anime game, of course its going to look off if all you have to compare it to is a cartoon aesthetic. I messed around a bit to make it more inline with that by changing things like the eyes and nose, making the face shape sharper, making the lips closer to skin tone, and as expected it looks really uncanny because it clashes with the realistic style of the game. Heres a different angle and lighting shot of the not uncanny as fuck version as well but I still don't see what your problem with it is.

I think its eyes clashing with the lashes or the eyes don't look they are set in the face correctly, and the overall shape of the face looks off (and that body seems too tall for that head) so I searched for "black desert online loli character creator" and I found some other examples… these look way more "loli-ish" to me. (they even seem to have a loli style class/race but it was censored)

The one I've been showing is a tamer not a shai whos canonically a teen and not a loli, but they're easy to make a loli and aren't even a head taller than shais at minimum height so if you have a problem with tamers head to height ratio you'd really have a problem with shais.

I chose to make a loli tamer partly because of the censorship and partly because shai is a support character in a primarily solo focused game and as someone with no interest in guilds that eliminates the only group focused part of the game.

Honestly putting the default shai next to my tamer I just don't understand how you could think the former is better in any way, and when one of your other examples looks like some makeup caked mid-twenties midget I question whether I should even value your opinion on the matter at all.

I think we just have different ideas when it comes to our own preferred aesthetics. it seems I prefer a more cartoony (unrealistic) look while you are more into what some would call realistic and less anime looking. (sort of how I prefer the looks of soul calibur 1 and 3 and don't like the looks of 2,4 and 5)

lol. polygons and pixels aren't "little girls" at lest to me they aren't. does Mario look like a real Italian? I don't think so. (maybe i have that problem some people have with recognizing faces?) but I've always preferred the look of animated characters to anything else. they are much easier to look at/remember. I've always had problems with remembering what "real people" look like (but I always know what micky mouse and goku look like).I don't mean to be rude, but I can't make heads or tales out of your tamer character. it just doesn't look like anything to me (I keep looking at it and I just can't make sense of it) it especially does not look like what I've come to know as "loli" stylistically. (but that might just be me) and I don't think it looks very "realistic" either.

(nothing about black desert's rendering looks realistic to me) but if you are happy with how it looks thats great… I would just go a very different route. (pic related)

Well that adds up, heres what the real equivalent looks like because you clearly need a refresher.

I mean its not like I used a reference to create the character or anything but to suggest you "can't make heads or tails of it" is either a coping mechanism or you have some serious brain problems beyond simple facial recognition issues.

that just looks like a generic (kinda ugly) kid to me. I guessing its a girl, but it could easily be a boy with long hair. (also, why are the eyes so dilated? in a bright room you'd think the pupils would be more constricted. did somebody slip this kid some drugs?)

anyway, your BDO character looks nothing like this. (to me at least) also this kid has a way more pronounced chin while your character has a very flat (awkward) looking jawline (I thought that you might have been trying to make it look like a cambodian girl, see pic) baring that it also reminds me of strange dolls from the 60's/70's I used to see at the thrift store (couldn't make heads or tales out of them either). once again sorry I'm not trying to be mean. have you made any other characters?

I'm just being honest, so I'm not sure what you think I'm coping with.

I think the chin on the shai looks better then the generic kid or your tamer.

I never said I was prefect or even "normal" (I have special eyes) but I think you're mixing up the ideas of what's "awkward" and what's in the "uncanny valley" for instance I can look at each feature of your tamer in isolation and see how it could work as a part of a face, but that also makes the flaws stand out more. and then when its all put together it just looks incomprehensible. (in the back of my mind I keep wondering if you're trolling me and its a strange joke just telling me it looks like a loli to you).

if I just focus on the eyes, they look dead, and recessed too far into the sockets like a strange doll. the face is overly rounded but the jaw is squared off. the cheeks have no shading on them so they look flat (almost like a paper cutout).

anyway. I'll refrain from going further into this discussion because I know its not going to be productive. (and I have a habit of forgetting how high strung my fellow anon's can be). since BDO is free (right?) I'll see if I can make time bust out a character and maybe post some screens (it will likely be a monstrosity to those with "normal eyes)."

have you never heard somebody call a child ugly? (have we not already established that our aesthetic preferences do not align?) also I didn't say the gender was indeterminate. I guessed girl (from the hair) but it can be difficult to discern the gender of anyone in preadolescence. not to mention all those trap and tranny kids can look (very) convincing thanks to all the fake hormones' they pass out like candy these days (also wouldn't be the first time I was fooled).

I'd say try finding one that's not such an ugo, but we've already established why that won't work. (just like how everybody thought the Olsen twins were cute but I always saw them as ugly and annoying)

Also, thanks for that “concerned parent” jab, I had a really good laugh on that one. wish I had the comic a drawfriend made all about me being a terrible role model. It was a green text story thread on introducing family members to video games. Thread turned into a one upmanship contest of poor decision making stories (and even worse advice on how to avoid responsibility) until “bad dad anon” brought out the nuke and posted pictures (we assume) of his daughter playing the “game that shall not be named”. He “won” hands down. If I find that comic again I'll post it here as a reminder of this place in better times. (great lulz worthy threads almost every week, I miss those days)
