Have you ever dreamed of bombing a crack mansion, killing half a dozen players who were peddling drugs there? How about having unprotected sex with a walking genetic abomination in the sewers, and being surprised when you get an achievement called "the clap"? Or scamming old folks out of their live savings, getting paid by the municipality to kill them with a contract, and then eating their decapitated heads to sate your appetite? Well then, this game is for you!
InfernoMOO is a text-based multiplayer post-apocalyptic roleplaying game. If you've heard of HellMOO, it's an offshoot of it, but with better decisions made during development. It is the year 2085, and you are one of the lucky few who survived the apocalyptic nuclear exchange that led to the Collapse. You start out by killing malformed clones that can barely breathe on their own, moving on to chuds in the sewer, then later on you start hunting giant treemen, mutant ants, and dinosaurs.
The game has pretty much 0 grind, and a great intro sequence compared to other MUDs (multi user dungeon), so even if this is your first time playing a textbased game like this, you'll get the hang of it in no time.
Here's fun things you can do!
-Take part in the lovely pastime of soda carpet bombing! All it takes is for someone to dump the contents of a couple soda crates in the cargo bay of a plane, fly up above Freedom City, and open the bomb bay! Have you seen what an extra-large soda can at terminal velocity does to a man's skull?
-Collect dakimakuras of your friends! Fill up your storage containers with dakimakuras! Buy more storage containers! Dedicate a room in your apartment just for your ungodly amounts of bodypillows!
-Find an eldritch monstrosity in a cave complex! Rape it, and get an achievement?!
-Take part in a bossfight raid with your friends against a tentacle monster! Get used as rapebait to distract it while your friends wail on it, because that's what friends do!
-Be an errand boy for a mutated monstrosity! Deliver supplies for them, since no shopkeeper would dare trade with them! Comply when they ask you to take off your mask in a secluded location, get facefucked, and have chestbursters come out of you seconds after! Get offered monetary compensation for the traumatic experience!
-Find an artillery shell guarded by giant malfunctioning recycler-robots and fire the Schwerer Gustav (yes, THAT one!) at your enemies!
-Get psychic mutations! Peer into people's apartments through the power of your mind! Set people on fire! Defibrillate people with electric shocks!
-Get physical mutations! Iron liver that lets you drink as much as you want, and heal from being drunk! X-Ray vision that lets you see inside containers, and people! Regret getting X-Ray vision because you automatically see people's genitals each time you look at someone, getting you instantly horny!
-Name yourself something generic like Bob or Carl, and be surprised when other players kill you thinking you're an NPC!
