They definitely did. I’d say that Silent Hills would have made things worse, but the series was already on a downward spiral that abandoned what made it good a long time ago.

Speaking of, this just dropped today. More and more I’m convinced that the people who made this DLC were either just fans of the first movie, or Konami made them base it more on the movie.

Honestly, it would have been great if they had just made proper monster designs. The little creatures that chase you around are creepy at first, until you realize that that’s the whole game. It genuinely does capture that nightmarish feeling of frantically being chased, but at some point you realize how weak and tiny the things chasing you are and it sort of takes you out of it.
