What is there to talk about that will bring joy, except for the downfall of companies which we believe to be bad? Its quite clear that there's not enough videogame content to sustain a board dedicated to talk about videogames, much less one that is open 24/7, without creating a good atmosphere. Videogame discussion would be better served as a side dish or not at all.
I question the very existence of /v/ or people that "just wanted to talk about videogames", when talking about videogames is objectively a form of warfare and no other talking of can exist either way. What person wants to commit to talking about combat without immersing himself in it anyways?
I think we should leave this board be and never, ever post about videogames in a videogame board ever again. We are simply disillusioning ourselves when we say we peacefully want to engage in war.

The downside of having taste in games developed from the eighties forward, is that there were opportunities to engage in casual conversation with industry professionals on various public forums. Just shooting the shit with iD Software people, and the like. It was fun just lurking on Polycount years back, and learning about stuff that was in development via sneak screenshots of Maya and Max projects.
