It could barely get made back then. That's why they were on Fox, because Fox was a new network that was thirsty for content and nothing to lose. There were just as many complaints and controversy as you would expect today, but you had a strong streak of shock comedy at the time which Fox leaned into with the show. Hell, originally the roles of Al and Peg were written for Sam Kinison and Rosanne Barr. As much as Ed and Katie really made the roles into icons, it would have been interesting to see what Sam and Rosie could have done with it if the FCC would had allowed them off the leash. As it was, both of them would have had to tone down their performances significantly - and even though Rosanne was able to make the leap to sitcom, I'm not sure if Sam or his audience would have had the patience to see him neutered for prime time.

Yeah Im about an hour and a half in and…I dont hate it but the combat frustrates me a bit. The camera is so close to his back and I dont really know how people call the combat smooth and satisfying, its miles away from what he originals had. They should have had the camera pull back during combat encounters so you could keep track of whats going on instead of literally implementing a system where the game tries to control the camera for you to keep the most enemies in your view, and implementing arrows that tell you when people are behind you.
Its like trying to put out a fire by smothering it with dry wood. They introduced more annoying mechanics to cover up an annoying mechanic all so they could keep the camera close enough to see Kratos' back pores. Just pull the camera back.

Prepping to beat up the real final boss of Octohitler Follower.
Plot is OK but the lack of any real interactivity between characters hurts it more than I'd like to admit.Inconsistency like some characters having all the stops pulled for their final fights while others don't bothers me.It reeeks of them not caring or rushing to the deadline.
Combat system was great, though it eventually runs into the problem/positive of the class system breaking the combat into tiny pieces like the studio's other games.I got my fun by playing suboptimally(low level teammates to balance xp out,using suboptimal job combinations etc) and playing through mistakes to force myself to improvise, but otherwise the game is really easy, removing nearly all tension.
