Let's talk about the oft forgotten (in the US at least) competitor to the Super NES and Genesis. I've had a fuckload of fun playing Bomberman 94 with my pals in the past and recently. Tons of shmups on the thing too, favorite of mine on the system being Sapphire. You anons have any favorites? I've never out much of the the TG-16 CD aside from Rondo and Sapphire, any other good titles there?

A year or so ago, I got to play a Supergrafx with one of those $300+ FPGA's (the SSD3, had to look it up) and it played really nicely. I had to fix it for a friend, so I could borrow it or a few weeks. Played a few games and was surprised about how beautiful the games looked. Never expected these things from an 8-bit machine.

Soldier Blade is my favorite non-arcade shmup and the Neutopia games are probably the best out of all the Zelda clones from that era.

The Ys games are all great, Lords of Thunder and Gates of Thunder are essential shmups and Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes is a fun JRPG.

I have a TG-16, but without CD functions, it's borderline useless, even with an Everdrive. Most of the games people praise constantly are CD.
