Generally in most settings magic still has a "logic" to it.
And a lot of settings have zero excuse for say why a lot of armor just has a bunch of exposed skin.
Some things do excuse that by saying stuff like "magic requires the body to breath" and having magic have something to do with the armor; which at least makes sense.though cases tend to be inconsistent
Though literally bikinis would never totally fly, they make sense as a basic design under this.
Similarly armor with a lot of pieces "missing" might make sense if women are actual combatants for whatever reason, though realistically they would wear paddinga feature a lot of fantasy shit forgets or less solid armor instead of showing bare skin. Ironically the tit area is a pretty logical candidate for removal as well.
A lot of fantasy settings also love to have non-magic characters still have total bullshit armor or weapons so muh magic doesn't really work there.
Nonsense weapons can also be excused as magical tools but a lot of the time the setting never makes it seem like using such things makes any sense since more sane alternatives exist.
The point of practicality is efficiency, which no matter the rules will always exist.

A witchdoctor using a venom spitting cobra as a weapon is something I really like. Plus from what I understand the reload animation is another attack in of itself where the cobra launches itself at enemies.

Yeah he's a cool character. When he throws the snake it also stuns the enemy if it hits them. You used to be able to stun-lock enemies with a build that went solely for reload speed.
He also has a gourd that's an AOE heal/denial system. Heals allies, hurts enemies, excellent for throwing on the point during capture.
It's a pity HiRes cannot balance shit to save their fucking lives. They've ruined Mal'Damba, every new character they release is OP or outright broken at launch, and my favourite Skye remains the weakest character with the most hard counters, yet they continue to nerf her because shitters just don't know how to play.

Out of the 4+ male characters in the game, only Alucard looked feminine, which was an intentional design choice since he was supposed to be a refined delicate looking pretty boy.
