What the actual fuck happened here, /v/? The first 40 minutes of this game is some of the most ridiculous shit I have ever seen in a game. They manage to cram so many nu-politics topics in such a small timeframe I thought I was watching John Oliver sperg out. The Germans, despite conquering the entire fucking world, acts like a bunch of retarded spergs, especially frau Engel bullying her fat fuck daughter. Yes yes, swecucks, drumpf bad etc etc was the norm when the game released but this is way beyond anything I could ever imagine. Can someone at least tell me the game bombed?

All of this is in both two games and the second game has more cutscenes and hub time than actual FPS gameplay.
I remember thinking the New Order was alright, then I actually finished Wolfenstein 2009 and it's like night and day.
Also 2009 has actual physics, an actual good Hub where you can actually fight in and a much better progression and mission system.
2009 is very much worth your time and I recommend you to play that game if you like mid 2000s FPS games, it's pretty fucking good and actually rewards you for finding secrets instead of locking everythinv behind challenges like killing 50 enemies behind cover while leaning with the useless as fuck pistol.
TL;DR
Swedecucks ruined a good franchise, one mediocre game, an average expansion, and 2 mediocre shitquels.

The first game of the reboot, The New Order, and the prequel they released for it, The Old Blood were both really good. Id especially recommend The Old Blood because it really captures the old Wolfenstein feel. Its obviously trying to cash in on some of the Inglorious Bastards vibe, especially by making BJ a Southerner (I always assumed he was just a Big burly MidWestern guy based on his Polish last name)

Not to mention the performance was very subpar for what kind of graphics the game had. So many fucking dumb decisions. They refused to put CTF into the game until it was already halfway in the grave even though CTF started on Quake and it's a strong draw for many Quake fans, instead putting in "Sacrifice" which was an extremely half-assed "Wow what if we combined domination and CTF" type mode that nobody gave a shit about. The game had so many shitty unskippable menu animations and fucking MATCHMAKING (don't even get me started on putting matchmaking in a Quake game), that the time it took from the time a match ended to the time the next one started was about 3 minutes. I timed it. And that was at peak playercount. A typical match takes all of 15 minutes. I could not justify playing a video game that wastes 3 out of every 18 minutes, that's 1/6th the time spending the game or 1/5th of a match. As opposed to starting Q3A which was two separate clicks, three if you count the fact that one of them is a double click, and you are playing on a multiplayer server.
This is just making me pissed off at matchmaking's entire existence. Why do we have to live in a world where companies want to shoulder the burden of hosting and regulating EVERY SINGLE MATCH, just so they can fracture the community and annoy everyone who doesn't want to play the 3-5 most popular game modes? Even CS:GO did this correctly. The game even has fucking paid cosmetics and they still figured out how to allow people to run dedicated servers. There is not a single fucking excuse.

I know it's different today, I'm talking about in the 40s-50s and prior. Also, I'm pretty sure that being subjugated by them would have tainted their sensibilities/pride somewhat, compared to nowadays where people like us can sit around and imagine what a national socialist USA would be like. Even if you agree with the ideals of a foreign government, it's hard to stomach being subjugated under a foreign empire, especially if you are proud. Finally, I still think that the Nazi government would not have had much desire to allow them to exist, unless they decided to change their methods and become a civil political party/organization. My guess is that there would be a schism in the KKK between the NatSocs and the dissenting fundamentalist Christians, who would perhaps continue under a different name. But nobody wants to get into the intricacies of how racists would think, because they all think the same, right?

From what I understand, there was actually a schicsm in the KKK during WW2 bc while pre-war they actually supported the Nazis, once the war started some were all in on the American patriotism thing going to fight a foreign adversary, while some said fuck America and tried to support Germany in any way they could.
And you kind of see this now with the remnants of the alt right. People like Richard Spencer obviously dont care about America and want it to collapse so a post-nation state order arises where everyone splits up on race, while someone like Fuentes has this American First veneer, but constantly flirts with similar ideas. But I think this is more because Fuentes is too griftery and doesnt actually have a set ideology like Spencer does. WW1 was the Iraq War of its day. It caused a tremendous public backlash which even has a term, American isolationism. I think the "power-hungry Germany" meme is one cooked up by Britain and France because they wanted to remain as dominant powers for a while longer and saw Germany as an upstart. The Treaty of Versailles was perhaps the single dumbest mistake of the 20th century, since it directly led to WW2, and there was no reason to blame Germany specifically for the war when the devastation was caused by every other European power piling in on a regional conflict. But I'm also half krautnigger so I may be biased

But it started a chain of events without which the US never would have entered the war. The pro-neutrality elements of the Wilson administration (recall that maintaining neutrality in the war is one of the lies Wilson told to be elected) left in protest of his blatant favoritism for Britain, which allowed more and more British hoaxes to saturate the media as the government continued increasingly open support for Britain. The Germans had enough of the American intervention while remaining "officially" a non-party to the war and decided to fight back by proposing an alliance to Mexico so that the Mexicans could start a proxy war against the US with the Zimmermann telegram (assuming it wasn't an outright British fabrication). Once the British obtained the Zimmermann telegram and provided it to Wilson, he had sufficient public support to send hundreds of thousands Americans to lose life and limb so that international banks could loot and pillage Germany. Bear in mind, this is an era before the presidency had the power to unilaterally engage in "police actions" so he needed Congressional authorization for entry into a war.

Everyone knows that it was carrying war supplies, the mistake is claiming that this is what led to the war when it was just one of the reasons. The Zimmerman Telegram, German subversion of American press being made public, and the unrestricted naval warfare in the Atlantic were all reasons. My own personal take is that Willy mistook the initial American isolationist movement, which was strong across all political spectrum, as weakness. And that he could kind of push and bully America a little as he needed to without having to worry about them fighting back. It wasnt just political maneuvering, public support in America shifted radically by 1917 to being all in on "crushing that savage huns" and bringing the light of American democracy to Europe. There was even a thing called "The Spirit of 1917" that was evoking the spirit of '76 tying this as a moral crusade on the same level of the American Revolution and using those ideals to smash Germanic barbaric warlord kings.
