Omnipotence has an inherent flaw. You have to be able to make yourself omniscient or you're not omnipotent, but you must also be able to create things outside of your omniscience. Failing either would be inability to do something and thereby everything.

The only logical solution to this paradox is that a god could create things outside of his omniscience, for instance free will, and subsequently only knows the results of those actions once they have happened. IE God knows everything you'll ever do, but couldn't have known until humanity was given free will.

After that, there is a measure of letting go required to allow humans to better themselves, as the other anon said.
