Because that wont fix pokemon in the slightest. They have a and b team and it's always been about shitting a game out every year. If they split and make a new studio their philosophy would absolutely kill the franchise even more. More corners would be cut just to make the yearly requirement. They need to get rid of the heads and fill their positions with people who actually have ideas. They need to tell nintendo off if nintendo are the ones demanding yearly releases. Extend dev time for each game to four years minimum. They need to craft a new engine. Get competent artists to design pokemon. Get competent programmers. Get competent writers. Contests, pokeathlon, musicals, etc give you more things to do with your monsters making the overall game more interesting and content filled. Contests even have ribbons awarded, so the fact they never got implemented as a viable alternative path to the gyms/battling progression is beyond retarded. Triple, rotation and inverse battles are just different battle modes that may or may not offer deeper strategic gameplay. VS Seeker and the phone allow you rematch NPC's in the game so you can level your teams without having to only grind the E4 over and over. Seasons, dark grass and outbreaks effect what pokemon appear where and when making catching them more interesting and the pokeradar lets you chain pokemon encounters so you can increase the chances of finding shint variants. Battle frontier is endless post game battle content that eases you into the meta, it's damn fun.
The rest is basically just fluff but fuck it was at least shit to do besides battle trainers and gyms.

Absolutely. Mega Evos were removed from Sun and Moon until after you beat the game, and in Sw/Sh it's confirmed that megas and Z-moves are also locked. If Dynamaxing even makes on to the next gen games it's certainly being locked to after beating it in favor for the new gimmick. That if there even is a new mainline game after this one.

Very unlikely. I doubt that it's every single pokemon that gets those alternate forms. And there's already some classic pokémon in the region that could get the forms anyways, all they'd have to do was add the other ones without having extra forms.

The reason as to why it stood for so long was due to the fact you can have any enemy as part of your team and raise them as your own. Unlike in some games like Dragon Quest monster joker or shin megami tensei your allies are temporary and you fuse them into stronger ones as opposed to strengthening the ones you have.

They do, some are just more disappointing compared to others. With the switch selling well and the gen 1 nostalgia bait easymodo game being a top seller on the thing I predict Sword and Shield is going to do decently even if it's feature-deficient.
