the combat mechanics for NGB are extremly dumbed down, the builders parts are dumbed down, becoming cosmetic onyl with SOME stat boosts, where as GB3 had B parts that could not only perform stat boosts, but would do things like increase your thrust gauge, give you new optional weapons, barriers, etc.

I've been looking at some reviews and apparently the ZOE port is such a dumpster fire that emulating the PS2 version might actually be better, at least around the time of release. Maybe it's fixed by now, that's one of the advantages of late cracks, we get a finished game.

Actually you might just be right, I've just stumbled across a video of someone playing ZOE2 HD (post patch) on RPCS3 with a fairly modest build for PS3 emulation (OCed 2600k 1080 but I'm postive the limiting factor isn't the GPU and something much smaller would do) and and it just dips a bit on the Anubis fight
PS2 version I can assure you is a lost cause without at least a massively overclocked Haswell or better intel CPU and something in the ballpark of a 1070ti if not bigger
