The sand slide is literally the only part of merit and that feels cheap because it's the only part of the game with merit. It's like it was inserted as a trailer moment rather than the original focus of the game or even a high point of the game.

A high point is something you work into the pacing. Journey is like video related. There is no high point, there is just a constant buzzing and then it ends A proper story has highs and lows, it makes you want for someone to win, to have a struggle and for something to happen. Instead Journey just has a flat plain, a mild bump with nice visuals and then returns to that flat plain. The most praise I've heard is that in co op it's novel, but that's not anything to do with the game unless you consider two people dicking around with a fart noise to be a game.
