The problem with Jojo games is that Stands inevitably become standins for weapons, and that feeling of using the environment to your advantage and outwitting the opponent that most Jojo fights have is not maintained.

I'm not even sure if it's viable to make such a game. You'd need to have a sandbox environment where certain effects would consistently work on any object in the environment. Say, if you want Crazy Diamond to work in this game, you'd need to be able to break and repair everything. If you want Gold Experience, every object needs to be able to transform into something. If you want Spice Girl in the game, then you need the ability to soften anything.

The only example I can think of a game having something like this is the puzzle game Quantum Conundrum, which is obviously not an action game.

The best way to do this would probably be to focus on one playable character, or a small handful, rather than trying to get every character in the series in there.

Real time third-person team battles with space station 13-tier interaction with the environment where all the stand abilities do fucking weird OP shit to the environment and fights are 100% about out-bullshitting your opponent. Sticky Fingers kicking you in the ass and then escaping through a wall, Crazy Diamond destroying destructible telephone poles then fixing them to fly to the top of them, Kakyoin taking control of your teammates and pretending to be them. Some of the abilities can be altered, like maybe stopping time has a long startup, cool-down and reduces max health the longer you use it (because your heart stops beating), but otherwise more OP abilities can be made fun by making fights 5vs1 or something, or weird game modes with non-canonical situations, like maybe players are trapped in a house and one player is the murderer but his stand makes figuring it out very tricky.

It'd obviously be impossible for the stands to do everything (like being able to use crazy diamond on every object, or Gold Experience being able to turn any object into any animal) but you could make a good chunk of things possible, enough to recreate some of the most iconic fights, but also enough for a decent amount of experimentation and surprise in most fights. Like yeah, maybe Giorno can only turn objects into frogs, but hey you don't know what that frog was before, maybe it's about to revert back into a fucking bomb. Or maybe you disguised a gun you found as a frog and are sending it to your teammate. But yeah, even simplifying it a lot, it would still be a ton of work and will never ever happen but I can dream about it every day and masturbate to the idea, you can't stop me.

I don't think it's necessarily impossible to have a stand like Gold Experience work on everything in the gameworld, but then the drawback is that that would have to be the game. You're probably not getting playable characters other than Giorno.

You could maybe focus on a single part, and have just the main cast as playable characters. In the case of Part 5, that's seven playable characters, and two of them basically just have power of gun anyway. Though how you make Fugo playable, I don't know.

If it's going to be like 7SU, it'll just handle Stardust Crusaders, but the universe is a result of too many Made in Heaven shenanigans. But unlike 7th Stand User, Protag has their own story to take care of while also handling Stardust Crusader's plot.

Fan RPG made by a wife and husband in moonland. For a fangame, it's really well made, and there's an english version available to play. Unfortunately, the latest version of the game 2.5.1 is not translated, and that one has new content like Jotaro dying from smoking too much and the chance of your player character being a Zeppeli descendant. There was a sequel in the making which originated here, but it's not made by the original creators, and that shit is most likely dead due to being in tumblr.

What they should have done is let you actually absorb it, triggering a 1-on-1 fight inside your head/soul vs Anubis itself. Failing gets you a bad end.

Succeeding fuses Anubis with Quicksilver, forming a new stand.

Quicksilver becomes more Egyptian-looking, and gives you a second gauntlet for your other hand that can form an energy sword.

Basically it would just makes you into Zero. Maybe throw in a Anubis-themed helmet to complete the look.

Of course, it would need a new name since its no longer just Quicksilver anymore. Powerslave

Hard for me to truly say as I only watched the anime last year and so could watch a bunch of episodes weekly. This time around I'm only doing one a week and I haven't read the manga either. Slowly making my way through them so I'll end the anime right before I finish part 5 in the manga. Then I'm freed up for part 6 onward.

I'm enjoying it a lot so far, but I can say that part 4 is my least favourite, mainly due to some weird pacing and characterization. Aside from one spoiler (Trish survives and has a kid with Jotaro) I'm in the dark as to what happens in the last couple months of the anime. I also think my boy Mista isn't going to make it. Now I'll leave to avoid spoilers.

Exposition quest on Jotaro mentioning the fact that him and Polnareff investigated stand arrows during the course of the quest to Egypt- probably relating to whatever happened in that extra segment of part three, or them noticing that stands showing up outside of the tarot theme they were rolling with being highly unusual

Exposition on Jotaro using timestop under the stress of the D'Arby game when he got the drink without him noticing

Also- I haven't really made it happen yet- but if Jotaro can learn Hamon- or at least use in a weaker state- namely due to the fact that he smokes preventing him from using it that would be nice to explain.

Joseph Joestar actually managing to buy off some of the Hitmen as an alternate way of solving a conflict

To do this kind of thing effectively, though, it really needs to be a physics-based world. The spells in BOTW were kind of a good proof-of-concept of this, come to think of it, as every object the game had properties that could be affected by the player's abilities. (Wooden/Flammable? Can it move, in which case you can time stop it? Is it liquid, in which case you can freeze it? Is it metallic, in which case you can use magnetism and it will attract lightning and conduct electricity? And so on.)

Something like that would absolutely work in a Jojo-ish setting, though some stands like Sticky Fingers would probably be a lot less broken than they seem to be in the manga/show. Largely because unlike actual Jojo, the game's rules would have to be internally consistent.

Part 1 adaptation in the style of Castlevania. Primarily slower-paced strategic combat a la classicvania or Zelda II, but with large explorable maps like later IGAvania games. Hamon is implemented with a "breath" button, such that you can only use hamon-fueled attacks like zoom punch while breathing, but if you get hit while breathing you take more damage, higher knockback, and your breath gauge is locked temporarily while the wind is knocked out of you.

Primarily faithful to the manga, but with details fleshed out more to make Part 1 fit more into the broader series and hint at developments later on.

e.g. The 77 Rings challenge was really a trial intended to force the awakening of stands, and the three winners Winzaleo, Eijkman and Caineghis appear as secret superbosses after being resurrected by Dio just like Bruford and Tarkus. Jonathan would gather rings over the course of the game as hidden collectibles, thus undergoing the trial himself as part of the story. Once he completes it he has to fight the three undead stand users with his hamon powers. Winning would unlock a special mode where you can replay the game using Hermit Purple: The Passion, tying Jorge Joestar into the canon.

I am currently making this game myself in GameMaker, so if it sounds cool to anybody you might be able to play it eventually.
