I've been playing Invisible Inc it's Klei's second best game after MotN which is depressing to see that they're going all in with the Don't Starve type of game. I'd recommend a pirate because I can see how the flaws can turn off an anon. recently. It has a shitton of flaws but at its core it's a fun turn based stealth game with some of the most intense moments I've had in quite a while.
>Quantum reservoir mission
>turn 17(three turns until extraction), expert mode, no rewinds left
>looted the shit out of everything, just got to get to the teleporter and camp there
>have like three guards knocked out in the other direction, one with 8 armor that I'm dragging around like a ragdoll
>peek around a corner
>4 armor fucker coming my way
>most I've got is AP-3
>no power to tag and lower armor, and no time to set up a shock-trap(like five turns of cooldown), gotta get out now the guards are two turns away from waking up
>drag the 8-armor guard in front of a sofa
>use paralyzer on him so he doesn't fuck up everything
>hide on the other end of the sofa
>next turn, guard finds body, investigates
>cone of vision is perfect to make a run for the teleporter room
>gotta sprint because the Monst3r's a fucking nigger that I'm saddled with has unupgraded speed stats and he can't reach the teleporter sneaking
>sprint
>WHATS THAT- INVESTIGATING- DIDJU HEAR THAT
>three fucking guards coming my way next turn
>lay out my guys in the corners of the teleporter room and get ready
>first guard comes in, holds up one of my guys
>second guard comes in, it's another 8 armor fucker, holds up the nigger at gunpoint
>third guard is right around the corner
>turn 19
>fuck it, use the undetected agent to run around the room far enough to get the third guard hunting elsewhere, then back into the teleporter room
>can't do shit with the nigger or my waifu agent, one turn until any item going off cooldown
>turn 20
>Monst3r gets shot, good riddance
>my waifu gets shot, fuck
>Gladstone's bitching up a storm
>"Operator what the fuck are you doing you spent like 4k credits maxing out her stats and giving her good items and augments"
>"Operator don't shoot my pet nigger we need him to sell off stupid shit like accelerator chips"
>"We're coming up over your position now, and stop whining"
>wait what
>extraction is open
>get the fuck out of there with two agents down and a third held up at gunpoint
Went on to win that campaign because the last mission's layout was absurdly fucking stupid, both switches were at one end of the map, in the same room, with a small chokepoint room perfect for shocktraps and overwatch/ambush spam, so I knocked out most guards and let them run around investigating the ass end of the map for five turns while I hacked both switches and won.
Anyways, what are some good TBT games? I've played JA2, wasn't a big fan. Played the original X-COM and TFTD, was a big fan but shit like getting psyker'd from turn 1 was bullshit, tried Silent Storm and also wasn't a big fan, mainly because of Panzerkliens, Hard West I would have liked if it weren't the two-action model, Steamworld Heist was shittons of fun and is the only game where I actually liked the two action model, Halfway sucked and the Firaxis XCOM games were outright shit, with Long War being a massive improvement but still something I did not play for more than half a campaign I gave Divinity OS a shot and it just wasn't my type of game. I tried Mechanicus and Xenonauts, the former seemed overly flashy but nothing particularly interesting, and the latter was fun but for some reason I dropped it because the visuals were so bland, I can't particularly place my finger on why I thought so. Also both games had unbelievably tiny text meaning I couldn't read half the shit onscreen without giving myself migraines every playthrough.
Is Resonance of Fate any good? It seems flashy but it's a JRPG with a slightly more involved combat system than the normal and if The Last Remanent was anything to go by I really enjoy that sort of shit. What are some good original X-Com modes? I skimmed over X-Piratez and came to the conclusion that someone on the dev team has a roid-tier musclegrill fetish and wasn't afraid to let it show.
A good and fitting OST would be much appreciated too. Those sirens at the end-stages really gets me going.
