You should play Gothic, and especially Gothic 2 (one of the best RPGs of all time, in my opinion). If you can understand Russian or German, you should check out some of the mods for it too – slavlands and Germany love that game to death and still maintain active modding communities.

You could try Lords of the Fallen (a bad Souls-like) or The Surge (a better Souls-like with a sci-fi setting) by Deck13. They're based in Germaniastan IIRC.

It's not very good, tbh. Everything about it is reminiscent of MMO design (loot system is peak MMO, NPCs are all shit, everything feels absolutely static and lifeless), with a better combat (it is better than in most RPGs, but don't expect to be blown away) and some absolutely retarded gimmicks, such as the whole "survival" part – what even is the point of adding a hunger system if you put food EVERYWHERE? Same goes for thirst. The whole "fighting with a backpack is harder" is rendered pointless since they give you a hotkey to instantly drop the backpack, so you just press it at the start of every fight and then proceed to pick the backpack up again after the fight is over. It's not a hardcore game in any sense of the word, it just tries to pretend to be by adding systems like these without actually designing the game for them.

It's been so long I've played with mods that I don't really remember if there were any issues in vanilla (I have no idea what accuracy problem you're reffering to) but I always liked they way the gun behaves when fired, the autistic amount of guns and their variants + attachments, and the fact that each, even the shittiest ones, always felt, well, powerful – it never feels like I'm shooting with some peashooter (unlike shit like nu-fallout and similar, for example), but an actual firearm, don't know how else to describe it.

I recently installed Elex (again) and I never thought I'd say this about any game but I wish it had the Gothic 2 controls / combat / animations instead. Fighting and moving just feels wrong

I recently finish Blackguards it's a hex based combat rpg.. it had some bad tedious moments and rng but I quite liked it. Now I've moved to Blackguards 2 (had to buy it from a key reseller website for 2 bucks because I couldnt find the latest patch), the first 15 mins of the story look promising
