Pretty OK. Bedridden for 2 days, sore throat the first and a cold/fever thingy the second. Woke up with only the sniffles but that's fine. Working hard on my thesis for uni; pretty interesting but heavy stuff. Only a few more months and I can call myself a chemical engineer without a title; then only two years more and with a title.
Pretty good overall, still in a bit of a pickle about a two girls you might remember from a month ago. Well; turns out I dodged a bullet with one of them. Already had vibes that she wasn't entirely stable, but apparently she has anxiety attacks and might be somewhat bipolar. Noped right outta that one. Still doubting about the second one; I still feel unable to uphold a relationship.
Considering games: pretty good! Got myself a RGB-bypassed 1-chip super Famicom and a boxed copy of Super Metroid (NTSC-J). Also got some other miscellaneous games for the N64 (Wave Race, Body Harvest and 1080) and GB (Tetris Attack, Mario land 3, Tetris Attack and Fist of the Northern Star for shits and giggles). Still need to buy a SD2SNES, but god damn those are expensive.
The dude I picked it up from bought one of those HDMI-snes things; when we were talking I mentioned that I was pretty handy with the soldering iron, so he asked me if I could recap his Supergrafx for a reward. Got that going for me, so pretty happy with that.

Someday I hope. It's a nice step up from 4 though. Air Raider is especially fun now. He's got a lot more offensive capabilities right off the bat, and some of the vehicles are just great (the Eros Vulture in particular). I'd recommend to go out and get it on a sale if you've got someone to co-op / local co-op it with, but I certainly understand not wanting to support Sony.
Fencer is obviously the most powerful at endgame

As for the frogs, they do use buildings for cover, and oftentimes, they'll split up and flank you, which they're surprisingly good at. There are also some variants which have high-powered plasma shotguns which fuck any one that's not a fencer over. They're a fun enemy to fight overall.

Most of the fun for me is playing through the game with local co-op. The harder difficulties are fun (and very hard) because they force both players to use what janky tools they have to complete the objective, which is almost always kill all bugs. Sometimes there's survival and defense type missions too, but you're always killing bugs. The classes and weapons are diverse and most of them are fun and have their uses with the right loadout or team. Plus, the physics are a treat. There's nothing like your ranger friend popping a wheelie on his bike only to hit a small bump and launch himself into a swarm of spiders or red ants.

Truly great, but also confused. A few weeks ago I smoked too much grass and had a psychedelic breakdown / trip of sorts. Confronted a bunch of ugly truths, or maybe the truth was confronting me. Some people I play know managed to get SM:Alpha Centauri multiplayer working here are the steps:
1. Have everyone port-forward: port forward TCP: 2300-2400,47624, UDP: 2300-2400
2. Set up a Radmin-vpn network and have everyone join.
3. One person hosts and everyone joins though TCP/IP on his ACTUAL IP, not the one though radmin-VPN
Some of these steps may not be necessary and I was able to join without port forwarding(I massively slowed down the game though.) I'm putting together a copy-pasta and possibly a document to throw against all the threads claiming to have a working method, so if your able to get it working without doing any of the following, or experience other problems feel free to reply.

What platform? On the PS3, it's still very alive. The player count is in the thousands. There's 100+ servers running daily, but there is about 200 or 300 dead servers that never get any players. While most of the servers are just base game maps, there are about 20 or so DLC servers that are populated daily, so finding matches is too easy. I can get in a game in a few seconds. You'll find too often that servers are completley full, so that's good. Overall, BF4 on the PS3 is probally the most alive version, behind PC. Most people (including me) are max rank, so you'll get your ass kicked a lot if you're new.

i mean, i guess from experience, but i appreciated how horizontal the progression system is. most of the best weapons are available from the start, but as the game goes on you get more niche weapons that are better in specific circumstances especially with sniper rifles. or did they add guns that are objectively better?
i stuck to guns i own or have used in real life.
