But then, the last one I put any time into was an NHL game on the SNES in the early 90s. Games centered on social interaction with NPCs tend to short hand so much because of the sheer number of variables that go into social interaction, so that is kind of a wash. It is interesting that the people who push the idea that video games need to grow up always ignore how massively successful the Sims was, though. That or stuff like city builders.
