Damn I hate this matchup. Quick, small, and still a lightweight. Since you're looking for a secondary, think about characters that might win this matchup. Anyone that can reflect projectiles or has quick out-of-shield options will do you some good. My old roommate mains Pikachu, and the best strategy I found when facing him was to play like I was Pikachu: be patient, wait for opportunities.

As a veteran Ganondorf main, don't let him have stage control. He has little range and can suffer greatly offstage, so capitalize on that. He has a couple options that can punish 2-frames as well, so be creative with recoveries depending on their skill level. When onstage, try spacing him out with projectiles so he can't reach you and do your best to burn his jump offstage. If the Ganondorf player is aggressive, remember to shield if he's getting too close, and punish with any move that comes out quickly.

The little bitch can dodge my super missiles and a good amount of unfinished charge beam just by holding still, not even having to press down or shield, and it seems like they have priority on attacks through either speed or being stronger. Then they spam their neutral B, making it hard do to just about anything, because I'll either be forced to shield or do something with the little jolts. While I'm trying to deal with their shit, they can get nice and close and destroy me. I don't know how Pikachu mains can hear their character say "Pikachu" every third of a second, it's fucking annoying. Thanks for the tips.

Here are my ideas, as someone who has never made a game
He could use a lot of things but I wanna focus on specials because you should very rarely use any of your specials as kirby, they are all very situational and barely have any use.

>Make inhale function similar to DeDeDes where it can spit any projectile right back at ya, only have kirbys come out as stars.
>make it if you decide to eat a projectile faster. right now you get insanely punished if you try to recover any HP from a projectile, and its so little HP too.
>Give Hammer super armor and a larger hitbox like the custome move in smash 4
>Make rocks transformation in/out quicker, have it ground/spike on a sweetspot
For not kirby buffs, make Piranha Plants poison still come out if he gets hit during the animation.

Zoners take away most of Ridley's options while he always remains a huge target with nothing positive. The worst part is I see the faggot starting to shoot a projectile, I'm walking, I hit the shield button but the online delay + controller delay + Smash Ultimate base delay means Barnie the dinosaur doesn't raise it in time. After I get hit then, I know something's fucking wrong.

Don't play much smash anymore, but this seems like a better place to get a learned opinion than the other people I played with. I started playing smash relatively seriously in the Brawl era because my roommate at the time played it religiously, but kind of dropped off before 4 came out. I settled on Luigi in Brawl because of his weird playstyle, his excellent neutral, and the ability to turn a match around with one proper up special. I know more people who are playing know that Ultimate is out, but Luigi's… different. His neutral air and jab are no longer free mid-range dominance. All of his moves seem to be changed. The vacuum is absurd and stupid, especially in the air, but I can't get the hang of it. He doesn't even have slippery shoes anymore. He just doesn't fit me like he used to. Who's a good new character for a Luigi main in past games?

Here's the thing: I got into elite on launch day with a few characters I liked and didn't touch a lot of the roster for a while. Now everyone I haven't taken into matchmaking has a high default ranking, just three wins or so below elite, so I decided to start filling out the menu. I've got most of the roster in elite now. Sometimes it took a few hours for one character, sometimes fifteen minutes. It really drives home how much of a flimsy premise Elite is for skill. I've profited off a lot of players who were pure dogshit but had high rank, and I always rematch if they don't bail, so it's provably not a one-time thing with each of them.
Even though I really don't like some characters, it's been a good thing to tryhard with them all just so I can understand them better in matchups. I get pissy about dying to "bullshit" less often this way since I can "relate" better.

I can see that Excitebiker could utilize various stunts and properties of the bike itself to use in his attacks. Like wheelies, drifting the rear end of his bike into opponents, or catching them under the back tire and revving it into them. Or using more cartoonish methods such as exhaust explosions or swinging the bike overhead as a bludgeon. He would be unique in the sense of utilization of speed and momentum to his attacks, he could speed up with added momentum or with each consecutive attack, being harder to control the faster you go, but having payoff in increased damage. Or maybe the overheating mechanic from the games could play a similar role.
To me the majority of the appeal lies in having a stunt / trick racer as a playable fighter, we don't really have anything comparable as of yet in the game. Incineroar taunting after each attack doesn't count, he's not using a stunt or taunt as the main means of attack.

In the news of Smash Bros, I have been testing out SSBM in Nintendon't. Works 100% well, although I can't say it looks the best it can. I dont have GC component but I do have Wii component and the Wii one looks worse. Both are being tested at a 480p output btw. Despite that, it's a fine way to play Melee non-seriously, and until I get a brawl disk, will be the Smash Bros I play for the foreseeable future.

There's a theory going around in the Smash Community about PapaGeno's Discord finding of who MIGHT be the other four fighters in the Fighter Pass because of them fucking around with the Google EU search results by using [character name] Smash Bros Ultimate method and they stumbled upon an Smash Ultimate AD that appeared when searching for the four following characters by using said [character name] Smash Bros Ultimate method; Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, Doom Slayer from DOOM, and finally Artorias from Dark Souls. This theory is pretty interesting because this method wouldn't do characters like Steve from Minecraft & Erdrick from Dragon Quest who are both talk about constantly in the Smash Community. Although, take this theory with a massive grain of salt because it COULD be end up not being true just like the Rayman leak back in the Smash 4 days. Online is laggy trash and is somehow even worse than Smash 4 was.
The short hop buffer makes the game nearly unplayable since it constantly causes you to get wrong attacks or no attacks at all.
Many of the characters feel poorly balanced and like their gameplay was an afterthought, like Pichu who has a tiny hitbox and isable to just constantly juggle and zone you out with nothing you can do in return. The game seems like they balanced it by throwing darts at a board with post it notes on it and none of the moves feel any sort of cohesion to them (Pichu's tiny weak-looking ftilt where he fans you with his tail is apparently a kill move, and this seems to be how they balanced the majority of the characters in the game - the devs recognize that some moves are complete shit so they arbitrarily decide to make them do 999 damage and knockback to compensate).
With the game being a total fucking shitshow as it is, I'm less concerned about the DLC (which will inevitably be garbage) and more concerned about the fundamental problems that need fixing.

I can easily come up with a moveset for her. Part of it involves PDP gameplay mechanics and the other part involves lore (she's a flower fairy). Some things she could do would involve spreading pollen clouds over the stage to cause flower effects on opponents, building panel stacks on the stage which she can then explode (different panel colors would cause different elemental effects to remain on stage), and running on a rainbow in mid-air to be able to perform grounded tilts and smashes in the air.
Also I think she and Doomslayer would be friends! She also has a pet rabbit, which Doomguy used to have, so he'd find solidarity with her in appreciation of rabbit friends.

Madworld and No More Heroes both have a reputation of being some of the only Rated-M games made for the Wii and arguably some of the best hack-n-slash games ever made, each being refreshingly unique in their own right and good examples of "style" in games. And if the games themselves aren't fun enough, there's great moments within them like announcers giving great dialogue while you play or good tongue-in-cheek jabs at the industry or gamers themselves in No More Heroes' case. The games aren't all that technical, so they're fairly easy to get into and play, they act as more of an adrenaline rush or commentary games. So what you see is more or less what you get, so if it looks interesting, it's definitely worth trying out. And for both games, the artstyle or UI can look kind of weird, but you get used to them fairly quick.

Madworld is the shit. It's developed by Platinum. Waggle is used for QTE kills which works well enough. That said the true joy of the game comes from figuring out sadistic ways to kill your opponents to build up more points to unlock the boss battle. I think it could go either way. I'm leaning more towards HD anime style animation. You can keep the ink outlines the way they were on SNES to still give it their iconic art style. Alternatively cut scenes can be anime while the sprites in game are based on the SNES resolution graphics. Though I think it'd be more interesting if the character sprites on the gameplay screen were hand animated anime doing their attacks beside the game board. Could even invent new ways to use the space around the board to distract the other player with new effects and garbage block placement.

In all seriousness, they're also good games because of the messages and commentary included within them. Or at least more so in No More Heroes case where it constantly showed how Travis or anyone like Travis was a pathetic egotistical loser and that real life isn't meant to be taken like a video game. There's no levels, no need to climb to the top. Why be #1? Or at least that's what I got out of it. It felt like a critique of both the industry and common mentality of gamers people who play video games. MadWorld felt like more of a critique on society and the sort of stuff we turn into entertainment.
Although it's debatable whether they're good gameplay-wise, it uses the fact that they're video games to their advantage in order to portray messages that wouldn't come across as easily with any other medium.

It's very subtle, but the song in that video is actually a David Bowie song. It's Heat from the album The Next Day. At first I thought it was Giygas Theme as it has that droning static-like noise from the final stage of the fight/theme. Since I've listened to the song quite a number of times I recognized those notes and was almost instantly reminded of it. A decent point, but take this into account: Konami was actually asked if they could bring back Snake in Smash 4 but they rejected the idea because they were still having their spat with Kojima at the time. The Smash Ultimate roster was finalized in 2015 just after the final Direct for Smash 4 where Bayonetta was announced, which was the same year that Konami was facing massive public backlash after how they fucked over Phantom Pain was revealed. As you know, Konami panicked hard after the backlash started to bite into their bottom line and began making games after having announced they would be doing mostly pachinko machines, so I would assume that them allowing Sakurai to use Castlevania the way he did was a move on Konami's part in an effort to try to win back at least some of the goodwill they lost with the MGSV fiasco. I can assume something similar happened with Capcom following the disappointing launch of SFV, though it was at a much smaller scale. TL;DR; Capcom and Konami only did what they did as a way to say "sorry" to their fans. Square Enix might just be dropping Final Fantasy as their big franchise for Smash and instead focusing on DQ instead.

You have to remember that Sakurai himself said that most of the development time for the base game was spent bringing back all of the old characters, so they could only add so many new ones into the base roster. I believe they focused on adding most of the big fan requests into the base roster(aka the Belmonts, K. Rool, Ridley, etc.) to please hardcore Nintendo fans while they instead kept other big third party characters for DLC so they could have time to work on them. This also works in SE's favor because that allows them to work in their Switch plans for DQ for 2019 while also having their big Smash character to help advertise them.

But TL;DR; Sakurai got fucked over putting Roy in Melee because halfway through development the game got delayed and Roy's character was completely rewritten which meant the Smash and actual game versions of the character didn't match up. So now he only includes characters that already have games released or older characters from the same franchise. DQXI didn't release until 2017 in Japan, so Sakurai could't use the Luminary just yet, but Erdrick is a much safer bet since his game has been out for fucking decades.

Here's one major difference that you overlooked; That insider leaked Cloud being in Smash 4 around 3 hours or a day (Can't remember which one it was) before it was officially revealed compare to the insiders knowing about Erdrick for such a long time that it makes it suspicious that they knew about this for so long and they said that Erdrick would of been the first fighter to be revealed for the fighter pass but after that wasn't the case with Joker of Persona 5 being revealed at VGA then they all double down on Erdrick by saying that Nintendo switched the reveals IIRC.

I honestly believed that this is what's going on at the moment. SE wanted to pull a meta campaign to bring the attention of DQ to the west and they see the whole fighter pass leak culture as a big opportunity for SE so they purposefully faked rumors of Erdrick being in Smash in order for DQ to be the talk of the town. If a different SE rep, a different character for a different third-party company, or Artorias of Dark Souls (If the Google Theory ends up being true) is revealed to be the next fighter in the fighter pass, this whole Erdrick in Smash would be like the Grinch leak but with the table turns.

The Google Theory was something PapaGenos and his Discord server came up with. Apparently if you used the EU version of Google and typed in a certain character's name along with "Smash Bros", then an ad for the Fighter's Pass would be displayed. This only works for a few certain characters, and the ones confirmed to work are Banjo-Kazooie, Ryu Hayabusa, Doom Slayer, and strangely Artorias from Dark Souls. This has lead some to believe that these particular characters are going to be our last four fighters for DLC. I personally don't believe it since Koei Tecmo already deconfirmed Ryu and want Kasumi from DoA instead but it is interesting at least.

Now Allowed me to play the devil's advocate for a moment; The CEO of Team Ninja could be lying in our faces because of a potential NDA there in and their words are as truthful as any other company's statement unless there's an outside source that confirms or deconfirms the statement of whatever people from whatever company i.e. a Rayman Spirit in Ultimate while at the same time one of Ubisoft's support twitter's said that they'll help to get Rayman in the next Smash game and one of the leakers/insiders had DMs with Microsoft employees saying that there's more talk about Banjo inside of Steve being in Smash Ultiamte while around the time a tweet from one of the community managers of Mojang said that she thinks that Steve is just an empty shell of the player for minecraft & the surprising thing about that is that tweet is still up there to this day. Also IIRC, one of the producers of Xenoblade said that Shulk isn't in Smash 4 yet that didn't turn out to be true and Shulk was one of the fighters in the base roster for Smash 4. Now does this mean the statement of Team Ninja's CEO doesn't deconfirm Google Theory? No but it does harm the theory a whole lot as in it a major one at that. Unless one of the insiders has info that matches the statement with the CEO of Team Ninja, there's no telling if Hayabusa is in or not.

Well, one problem with Erdrick getting in Smash is like I keep saying ITT, Square Enix themselves has been very fishy with limiting FF content in the base game of Ultimate to the point where it's almost like what's the point with Cloud coming back to Ultimate. Everyone thought it's a confirmation that Erdrick is the next fighter but everyone overlooked one detail about this; it would of break a NDA if Erdrick is in and that Instagram post is still up to this day.
