After some quick searching it looks like the Venom stick is just another run of the Mayflash V2, which is average entry-level stuff.
The "quality components" are just Chinese knockoffs of Sanwa parts. So unless you want to get the stick, take the buttons and stick out, replace them with actual arcade parts, I wouldn't bother unless you can get one really cheap and mod it, because it looks fine as far as ease of modding goes.
The shell looks decent and it saves you scabbing a PCB from another controller.

I haven't checked it out in a while, back about a decade ago there were some guys who made custom sticks for people for a price. You choose from the best parts, they will get an artist to paint a custom job, they finish and laminate/lacquer it, they just look fucking amazing.
So yeah, for your money, find a custom builder. You'll get something completely unique and made from top quality parts.

Tekken 7 and DBFZ are what you should play if you want to have fun and might want to consider playing competitively as their communities are huge and lots of prize money. Play SFV if you only want money and anime fighters like Blazblue if you want o have fun. Soul Calibur 6 is fun but the online matchmaking is unbalanced so you might want to join a Discord group to train online. Unfortunately, SC6 is like the anime fighters so just expect o have fun if you do get to join tournaments and expect very little monetary incentive to take it seriously.

What exactly is the problem? It sounds like you're describing the throw distance of the stick, which can be a result of the gate distance or how deeply the stick is set in the housing.
I hadn't heard of the PXN0082 before, and after examining a couple shoddy e-celeb reviews, it appears to be standard chinkshit with proprietary parts. That means it'll be fine until something breaks, at which point you'll be unable to repair it without just needing to buy a new stick entirely.
Anyway, it's probably unlikely that the stick is set poorly, so the lack of precision you describe is the inherently larger travel distance needed to actuate different directions on a joystick. You'll get used to it, but for finer movements it'll never be quite the same as a D-pad.

>Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, or GGXrdR2.
The latest version of the GG reboot that started with Xrd Sign, and likely the last version we'll get before Xrth. Excellent tutorials, and a big database of beginner tips available in the pause menu. Single player stuff is mostly a story mode movie (which is average), and digital figure mode, which lets you pose the characters as dioramas. Have fun unlocking 900 poses, characters, sprays, and facial expressions through a slot machine, or just use cheat engine.

Just getting back into fighting games ever since 13 years ago when I used to play them with friends. It feels bittersweet in a sense, because I do miss those old friends which in a sense the relationship was built on genuine ground. It doesn't mean it can't be authentic but these days it's hard. Luckily where I live there are places where people have a vested interest in fighting games and can be said to be local FGC with usually over 100-200 people. Right now I'm playing Third Strike (which I think I'll forever play), Street Fighter IV/V, Guilty Gear, DBZF, Tekken 7, UNIST, KOF XIV. Been meaning to get a good stick even though I execute combos good on a keyboard, but I do want it for nostalgia's sake and because I'll enjoy it. Pleasantly surprised to know that pros still play CVS2 from time to time, I enjoyed the fuck out of that game.

I've made that list in the screenshot a while back and I noticed a few flaws with it. Or rather a lack of games in certain areas. For example, I didn't mention any KoF games. I would put 98/2002 in good fundamentals and KoF XIII in combo heavy. Million Arthur Arcana Blood and DBFZ would go into simple inputs. Soul Calibur 2 for short combos. I would add Virtual ON series to "something different" along with Acceleration of Suguri 2.

This is really my biggest issue. DOA6 is fun for a while by itself but it hasn't really improved anything from DOA5. It looks pretty nice but the roster is smaller (obviously, LR had a huge roster) and the new characters are borefests. Game changes weren't really necessary or added anything. I did like the animation feeling a bit heavier and some of the new outfits for old characters are cool but that's it.

Every time I try to make the move from pad to stick in Tekken I give up after a while, I just feel like it's pointless to try anymore. All my finger muscle memory has been built up over many years, and it's not like there's any real reason for me to amke the move, other than 'it's what pros use'. It's not nearly as egregious as with SC but this game's art direction is leaning towards the unnecessary detail type, kinda reminds me of GGXrd because it is kinda arbitrary - some characters make the jump unchanged (Shiki, Haohmaru, Hanzo etc), others get a little more cluttered (Kyoshiro and Tam Tam), a few get the Potemkin treatment (Charlotte) and then a batch of godawful newcomers that hardly fit the game's classic aesthetics. SamSho 1-5 has always been about colorful yet surprisingly simple designs, the figures are very stylized but the costumes are simple.
Also mad at shit like Ukyo's ponytail. Capcom is always fuckin' up but at least they try, SNK clearly didn't want to risk making long flowing hair so Ukyo and Charlotte got ponytails.

A lot of low attacks are surprisingly safe on block so it's usually a good idea to punish with a fast 10-12f WS move most of the time just to be on the safe side.

In the neutral game you should mostly rely on safe pokes to keep your opponent in check without taking too many risks. df1 is usually one of the best pokes a character has.

Find one or two fast low attacks and use them to chip away at an opponent who keeps blocking your other attacks. Eventually he will start blocking low and then you can start using riskier mid attacks to get some big damage.

For hitting ducking opponents and whiff punishing it's extremely useful to know a mid that knocks the opponent down. The reward isn't quite as good as a full combo but since the move is faster and safer than a launcher it can often be the better choice.

There are certain attacks which will hit enemies on the ground, make sure to learn one for your character because whiffing a move in front of a grounded opponent can be very dangerous.
Once you feel comfortable using all of those tools I described you can start looking into character specific things such as mixups, stances and frame traps but I definitely recommend familiarizing yourself with the basics first or else you'll end up being one of those eternal green rank Pauls/Hwoarangs/Bryans with 3000 wins.
When it comes to defense you should focus on being patient and watching your opponent's character closely, instead of pressing buttons you more often want to backdash to get out of pressure and create whiffs. If you encounter a certain attack that you don't know how to deal with then go to practice mode and try to find out how the move works, a lot of them will require very specific responses like ducking, side stepping or low parrying. Your success beyond beginner levels depends greatly on character knowledge so be ready to spend a lot of time not actually playing the game.

The 30th Anniversary Collection has training modes for its games, which is nice, but is riddled with technical problems and bad menu design. i'm neutral on the hit effects/sparks in tekken games for the most part (T7 has a more dynamic camera and post processing effects adding to the mix). from what I remember reading in an interview with one of older Tekken developers saying that the hit effects actually started out as a from of censorship, to make the game look less violent and more cartoony. eventuality it became part of the series style.

I've had to re rank all the way from the botton thanks to namco and their brilliant game design (online ranks are stored in a local file, if anything goes slightly wrong when that file is used it gets fucked and down you go) and getting to blue ranks was extremely slow, I found 4-5 players at best at those ranks throughout several hours. Grandmaster to genbu is where all the playerbase is

What does higher-level Tekken play look like these days? I tried searching for Master Level videos and I was pretty disappointed. Doesn't look any different than what I'm fighting at expert and similar ranks. I can't find any good videos on Anna but maybe that doesn't matter because the only person that's giving me trouble so far is a high-level Jin player. Still whoop his ass good but he always wins with the same bullshitt super move. And that's another thing, I kind of hate the introduction of super moves into Tekken (and Soul Calibur) every fight just feels like a race to pop-off that super and it also gets really boring watching the same super animations play out over and over again ( why couldn't they have given everybody at least two different super moves, or a way to skip the animation?) Anyway, back to looking for videos. Another problem is most of the videos are recorded in low quality and at 30 frames per second (if I find anything at all). So that sucks, and what is with supposedly high level players and ridiculous ugly customizations? I want to fight somebody that looks cool, not somebody that looks like they ran through the dollar store looking for the ugliest/dumbest shit they could find.

God damn, on some days I just hate playing Tekken online. Every single fucking time I either win the first match or even lose 2-3 the other player runs away like a bitch. If I get shit on the first match he'll happily stay and rape me for 5 more games. I don't care so much about my rank but this fucking gay attitude most players have is really getting on my nerves.
Making XP gain and loss visible was a massive fucking mistake, it really encourages players to duck out every time a matchup becomes even slightly uncomfortable for them.

A great way to fix this behavior would be to overhaul the XP distribution in a way like this:

>no XP penalty for quitting early if the connection during the match was below your filter setting for more than ~10% of the match
It's just an idea I had recently so it's probably far from perfect but the way the current system works makes the online experience so fucking miserable. I'd really love to be able to compete in tournaments some day but with the only way to practice being this garbage fucking online mode I'm thinking about giving up again

As for latency, if you don't notice any you are probably fine, but if you really need to check it in a ghetto cheap fashion then maybe use a phone with slow mo video recording to film yourself slamming on a button and seeing how many frames it takes to respond, tested against some other known low latency input method.
