Akechi route
>Figure out his fathers identity early in the before he tells you

>Offer to help him reconnect with him
>He breaks character and accidentally reveals a bit about his true self and his desire for revenge

>He stands there seemingly contemplative then asks to be left alone to think about things
>Protag leaves
>Scene continues with Akechi saying an altered version of the new confident speech then asking himself what it could mean
>afterwords Akechi can appear while you are bonding with your party members and they also have a moment with Akechi
>He still betrays you and tries to kill you
>During the ship confrontation after you beat him he rather then call you weak for having friends, he himself realizes that he was weak for not having them
>He still shoots the button locking himself and the fake version to allow the party to escape
>He summons Robin Hood to fight the fake version of himself
>Fake version summons Loki
>Players only hear this thought the metal door
>Fight causes the ships hull to be breach flooding the room
>His death is not confirmed as you leave the room due to flooding
>During the part where you free your friends from the velvet room Igor mentions that there is a strange dungeon that has been attached to the room
2 Ideas for how this could play out
Scenario 1
>You can only investigate it before freeing any of your friends from the rooms as they will tell you there is no time for checking it out
>Protag must go though the velvet dungeon alone
>At the end they see the velvet room equivalency that Akechi would have been shown by fake Igor
>Akechi is locked in a room there
>Yaldabaoth left him alive because he couldn't easily end him after he chose Robin Hood over Loki but is told it is for failing to succeed
>Protag can let him out but doing so will prevent him from freeing his friends
>They survive but will end up with no memory of their time as Phantom Thieves
>Akechi's Robin Hood Persona Awakens into Baldr
>Protag and Akechi take down the final boss
>Protag no longer has someone after his life so he can come out of hiding
>The video where protag revealed he was still alive is believed to be a fake
>Akechi tells the police that protag was investing with him and that the Phantom Thieves was all Shido's doing
>Akechi still solved the mystery of the Phantom Thieves and protag doesn't break his prole
>Morgana is nowhere to be found
>Protag keeps in touch with Akechi but not his friends
Scenario 2
>You can only investigate after freeing all your friends
>You go alone however
>Still have to do a solo dungeon
>Friends get impatient
>They each run in by themselves and have to do a solo dungeon
>In each dungeon there is a key
>After all the dungeons are cleared they all regroup in Akechi's velvet room where he is locked behind a door that has 8 locks
>Yaldabaoth left him alive because he couldn't easily end him after he chose Robin Hood over Loki but is told it is for failing to succeed
>Party decides to put it to a vote if they should free him by putting their key in if they vote yes and not if they don't
>In order for party members to put their key in they must not only be at max rank, but also have experienced the previous mentioned moment with Akechi
>Akechi's Robin Hood persona awakens into Baldr
>Akechi is present for the final stuff, but the final stuff is harder because Yaldabaoth is concerned about facing an additional Persona user
>After the fight Akechi gives a false confession and claims there were no Phantom Thieves and that he was behind everything
>Sentences to life in prison
>Mementos does not go away however
>Loki is revealed to have been its own entity that was being used by Yaldabaoth and survived these events
>Is using the Holy Grail to manipulate the population into lashing out at all authority, just or unjust
>Protag and friends "visit" Akechi and bring him to mementos for only last dungeon and fight against a powered up Loki
>Akechi ends up disappearing after the fight along with Morgana
>Morgana goes missing as mementos disappears
>Morgana is found shorty afterwords as they now have a human body that is a female version of Akechi
>Sae pulls strings to get Morgana the proper paperwork to be a Japanese citizen
>Moves into the attic of Cafe Leblanc before getting a decent job and moving to their own place
>Ending is the protrag visiting to celebrate Morgana in their new apartment

IIRC you have the option, many time, most notably when talking with Akechi, to say that they do not support the Phantom Theives. Its in the same vein as how Bruce Wayne always take a public stance against Batman.
