Mad Max feels like the retarded step child of Dragon's Dogma. Clearly unfinished, with major holes that could've catapulted it to truly legendary status if they'd just been properly addressed, except Dragon's Dogma has the staying power to be fun despite its flaws while Mad Max was held back too much by them.
The biggest problem with the game was the fact that if you went for 100% completion, you would be almost totally locked out of the biggest feature in the game: vehicular combat. You're far too powerful when the game ends for any of the random desert encounters to be meaningful, and once you've destroyed all the convoys, the game doesn't give you anything in return to make up for it. The least they could've done was add in some form of endless combat mode so I'd at least have the opportunity to get burnt out on the combat before dropping the game, but nope, you have to go out of your way to avoid destroying at least one convoy if you want to have anything to do once the game is over and you enter postgame. What an incredibly disappointing screw up.
But at least the screenshot function is fantastic, they certainly aced that part.
