So what cool features do you think GF will leave out for these games? I think secret bases, contents, pokeathlon, pokestar studios, etc are all scrapped for good. Trainer customization and following pokemon probably won't be in it because then their precious LGP/LGE games wont be as unique for the normalfags. Berries will probably be almost non-existant like in Gen 5, I bet they wont even have a wau to breed pokemon this time around. Megas and Z-moves are probably going the way of the fossil pokemon too. I can see them making TM's single use again and bringing back HM's. Also 2/3rds of the game will be a tutorial and all cutscenes unskippable. Gotta make sure the kids can beat the game right?

Gen 3 was great. Nice open region (not a single gated off area in Gen 3 Hoenn, no other games have done this since) filled with shortcuts that make travel a breeze pre-flight. Pokemon had some real good designs, the girls where cute, the villains were retarded and entertaining, contests, berry growing, regi challenge, secret bases and the battle frontier was really good side fluff. Only thing I can say was truly bad with it was the removal of a noticeable day/night cycle and timed events based around it.

Toucannon's design is a little smooth, but on about the same level as most of the other early route shitbirds like Noctowl or Swellow. A lot of the newer designs were created with 3D animations in mind, unlike the old ones. Almost all the artwork for 7th gen is worse than the actual in-game models.
The beak actually changes color to represent how hot it is, filling in like a loading bar or a hot grip around a cheap coffee. The animation is pretty cool.
The others don't have cool animations and aren't based on cool animals and the 2D art looks better than the in-game models and they raped my cat and ate my grandma 9/10 I didn't like it.

I don't even like these designs, but Throh isn't inherently bad. They just needed to stay true to the original premise of Sahk and Throh being oni-based pokemon. Klefki would work far better if its head was upside down, but even then it would still be my least favorite pokemon. Toucannon has realistic proportions like those of Gen 1, 2 and 3, but suffers from the fact that he doesn't look unique enough as a pokemon due to looking more like a generic anime toucan. If he had kept the head feathers of its pre-evos, he might be more memorable.
In the end, Throh really is the only passable one. Gen 6 is just shit all around with only a few saving graces. I just hope these Gen 8 starters evolve into something less bulbous.

You know, there's something I never understood about Pokemon's anime. Regions can go on for hundreds of episodes at a time, yet they do absolutely nothing with all that time. Why is that? I know it's intended for near-braindead kids so they don't have to put much effort in, but you can't tell me that after a year of pumping out same old same old, the writers don't get tired and never want to actually try and exercise their creative muscles.
Like, when they bother to try and make a plotline that's more than "Trainer/Pokemon-of-the-Week", like when they remember evil teams exist, they without fail last only 1-to-2 episodes – assuming there isn't a huge gap of filler between them. Or when they make characters who aren't one-offs only to promptly forget them and they have like 15 episodes between all of them out of a hundred – the bulk are at the ass-end of the region at the Pokemon League.
They create plots or subplots that might actually fill some time meaningfully, yet they purposefully squander it to make more filler. It doesn't make sense to me. Can someone explain why? Some sort of Nintendo mandate or something?

Anyways What I discovered is that you can pick only between Male and Female, but your actual player sprite is unrestricted by this selection. There's no explicit mention of being a tranny or anything like that. I could be wrong, and there could be some special text later in the game if you pick conflicting gender and sprite, but the fact that it gives you only two choices for gender tells me that the ability to have a Male or Female character with mismatched sprite is simply a result of how he made the hack and not as a result of pandering to retards. Pretty kewl, makenthe ears scaley and give it normal wings though, big and extendable for sure. The design is actually pretty gnarly enough to make it onto the new gens though.

It kind of looks like a dual type. It has some espeon elements that I like, it's a solid design for sure, but doesn't feel like a full poison type. You're gonna rag on me for saying this, but it feels much like scorbunny on how it's almost abstract and take to take the most obvious cue, which is the smog.

You could.easily do SO much more out of bug, you can make eevee transparent like Jewelled caterpillars, or change it's facial structure more to look more insectoid, remoge it's heart (butt) and replace it with a Caterpillar-like tail to make it more eevee-like, it just feels like someone thought of the most generic bug and slapped it on it.

In Gen 4 you can go to a church and read lore, says that humans and pokemon sat at the same table, but in japanese it was actually "they could marry".
This is the gen that debuted Lucario. AKA one of the few moments where they departed from "Animal with extra stuff" to make a pokemon that was specifically designed with a humanoid form in mind and also has a dis-proportionally big ass designed to look like shorts, but with the rest of it's body gives a teardrop thigh figure.
Who was also an event pokemon from a prominent side-quest that you had to get if you wanted a the attack focused Sweeper partner for Super Doubles in the frontier, and was an event pokemon with a great typing and great stats, with overpowering moves, and was one of the few Fighting types that could easily get past high defence walls designed to counter Fighting or mostly physical types due to his unique moves, which on release were only shared by two legendaries and exactly one event pokemon evolution, which is mostly for gimmick purposes and coverage on that pokemon.
So they designed a human-like pokemon, put him in a movie as a character, advertised him in the third generation before him (in the Red Red/Blue Rescue dungeon games) and specifically pushed him.
And they tried the same thing with Zorua and Zoroark, but fucked up a bit because the design was thin with no weird gimmicks aside from the hair, and it probably didn't work as well because they didn't know why Lucario was popular.
But the artist sure as fuck knew.

And Zoroark was unobtainable to 99% of all players. Never forget this clusterfuck.
You had to own an event pokemon from an irl movie release to take into your HG/SS game so you could unlock a different event legendary which you then had to have two DSs so you could transfer that 2nd legendary from HG/SS into B/W so you could unlock Zoroark. I thought the thing was a mythical, but it was just some side bitch you can catch on a forest route (outside of BW).
Granted, unobtainability never stopped most mythicals from being popular, but since Lucario was actually usable I'm sure that aided its popularity.
