>Hitman 2 Removes Denuvo DRM
>On January 30th, 2019 there was an update over on the SteamDB entry for the base version of Hitman 2 from IO Interactive and Warner Bros., which indicated that the Denuvo anti-tamper DRM had been removed from the Steam version of the game.
>This comes three months after the game’s release back in November of 2018.
>The update was actually spotted by a Steam community group known as Denuvo Games.
>In the post it’s mentioned that so far the DRM from the base version of Hitman 2 has been removed. They also note that some games – especially the ones from Ubisoft – sometimes have multiple entries on Steam and will sometimes contain different content per each iteration, writing…
>"Denuvo has been removed from Hitman 2. I will keep an eye on it and tell you if they add it back. More and more games are getting Denuvo removed, which is good news. Even EA removed it from 2 games. Watch out for Ubisoft though, they have between 3 and 6 versions for their games, preorder exclusives, Denuvo in almost all games, microtransactions in most of their games, including boosters, in single player games I might add. They have never removed Denuvo from a game.”
First Sega stops putting Denuvo in their games, and now this. Are companies finally realizing it doesn't do shit?

They're not paid.
In their eyes, they are protecting their own interests by advocating for Denuvo because the more prominent Denuvo is, the more they feel like they didn't waste their money buying games instead of pirating them, so things like news about Denuvo succeeding makes them feel good and makes them feel like their decision to buy games has been validated.
They also do probably think that piracy does more harm than good.

Because the first weeks of release are the most important ones in terms of sales' numbers. Publishers feel that if they don't "lose" sales to piracy during the first weeks, then what happens afterwards is irrelevant and they can make do with removing Denuvo because sales always decline after the first weeks/months.
Also, Denuvo probably charges extra for every new update, so it'd be a waste of money to keep paying for it after the first release window.

For triple A it costs at least 300 thousand dollars to implement denuvo
Let's for a second pretend that denuvo stops piracy, and piracy hurts sales, both are false but for the sake of easy math, let's say the moment denuvo gets cracked nobody buys the game.
For Denuvo in HITMAN™ 2 to be worth it
They'd need to sell 4286 units of gold edition on steam at -4 days after release (steam takes 30% publisher cut, gold edition costs 100 dollars, ergo WB gets 70 dollars per unit sold) just to justify denuvo.

I'm pretty sure these posts, especially ones like the second image, are dumb as fuck kids. Look at their posting style. Think back to when you were a kid arguing about which games were good and there was always some colossal faggot who missed the point of games and wanted to flaunt their brand loyalty, all because they feel like they have to in order to make friends with other brand loyalists. That's this stupid fucking kid. Desperate for validation, they take an aggressive stance on an issue they know almost nothing about, because they think it will make them look smart or cool and signal to like minded kids that they can be friends. Kids are fucking dumb.

Just playing the first game since it's free to play on PS+ I forgot to cancel my account, the nips autorenewed it and it was 2 months before I noticed so I had to pay for a whole year. This almost makes it worth it along with the few decent "free-to-plays" they had previously which I can still access
Enjoying it a lot so far, is #2 worth it? My laptop's Potatium 4 processor can't handle it so no pirate

Didn’t pay for either, but I’ve enjoyed 1 and 2, particularly since 2 includes 1’s missions but with all the updated mechanics and AI (and they changed the skyboxes, which is sort of strange). I just need to find a 100% save for 2 so that I can have everything unlocked again and it’s not completely repetitive every time. And yeah, I miss out on the “online only” bullshit, but fuck the company.

Story takes a massive nosedive, (((Warner Bros))) didn't hire Platige Image to do the cutscenes again, there's a literal slideshow now.

In 2016 you have a set up to a spy thriller, 2018 goes borderline shonen anime about friendship and fighting an evil conspiracy group openly.
2016 targets are as follow
>Russian-Israeli couple, the guy, former russian mobster runs a fashion company his wife, a daughter of an israeli general retired from modeling to run a honeytrap operation under guise of modeling agency, auctions off stolen secrets to highest bidders
>Master ruseman gets hired by the russian dude to get rid of an FSB chief who investigates him, takes a copy of all the information they gathered as payment, finds out about ZOG, leaks info about the couple selling MI6 noclist to brits so they hire ICA to get rid of them
>Italian bio-engineer, his lab assistant and a prototype of not-FOXDIE
>ruseman leaked info about not-FOXDIE to a bio-tech company so they hire ICA to stop it over ethics
>An army general planning a coup for ZOG and a swedish banker who fleeced moroccan people out of 7 billion dollars just for the thrill of it.
>Ruseman spoiled the details of the plan to a real estate developer who had contracts with the government
>Rockstar who murdered his girlfriend and got away with it (also son of a reclusive media mogul) and his anglokike lawyer who made it possible for him to get away with it
>Ruseman again gave the information about the death of the girlfriend not being an accident to the parents so they hired 47 to kill them both, death of the son was a lure for the father to attend the funeral so the ruseman's group can kidnap him, and wipe his accounts.
>It's revealed that you've been rused all along because every single contractor got an anonymous tip and were used as pawns so ICA doesn't get suspicious
>The least good mission in 2016 happens (level design-wise, main issue with it was ironed out in 2018 port of it.), where you kill off 4 prominent militia members (3 of them for money from Interpol, Australian government, and South-east asian country) who work for the ruseman
>**after the mission you discover that the director of ICA was a mole for ZOG and sold the agency out to get a right-sided heart transplant for situs inversus he suffers from
you go to the hospital where the Director is and eliminate him as well as his ZOG supervisor.
>After the mission a ZOG knock-off G-man approaches Diana and tells "wow, not cool, but if you work for us we'll forgive you, and help you find the ruseman, because we want him too for killing our guys, also have a picture of a baby 47 because plotpoint
This had me worried
2018
>You work for ZOG now.
>Four of the six mission basically result in you crippling yourself severely
>You realize, thanks to a magic vaccine that cures autism restores memory and emotion that the master ruseman was your childhood friend and you made an anime promise (including a secret handshake or an equivalent) to take down the evil people who gifted you with this cursed existence
>You then go to euthanize a soviet Jew defector, Janus who was a bigshot for ZOG before retirement to frame him as the real "shadow client", as well as his overzealous former Secret Service security chief.
>After that you go to a meeting of an elite prepper club to eliminate two sheboons whose main hobby is nigging ancient sites and stealing whatever there is, because they stand in the way of you capturing the previously mentioned bootleg g-man
I was butthurt about denuvo so I watched the game online, but when I pirated it recently, I just skipped all the slideshows (WB kikes didn't want to hire Platige Image to do the cutscenes so post mission you have literal slideshows) and played all the missions in random order which made it slightly better.
