Here's a guide to base stats that is helpful in character create

twinblade=tb blademaster=bm heavyblade=hb heavyaxe=ha longarm=la wavemaster=wm

Phs.Atk tb/bm=3 hb=5 ha/la=4 wm=1

Phs.Def tb/bm/la=6 hb=9 ha=8 wm=1

Phs.Hit tb/bm/la=1 hb/ha=-1 wm=3

Phs.Eva tb/bm=3 hb/la=5 ha=11

Mag.Atk tb/hb/ha/wm=2 bm/la=1

Mag.Def tb/bm/la=8 hb=10 ha=11 wm=12

Mag.Hit tb/hb/wm=4 bm/ha/la=3

Mag.Eva tb/bm=18 hb=26 ha=24 la=20 wm=30

Heart tb=3 bm=4 hb/ha/la=1 wm=25

Body tb=4 hb=17 ha=19 la=5 wm=1

A character's color, gender, and body type also affects stats

color determines your dominant element

all elements are 4 and the dominant element will be 5

red=fire

blue=water

yellow=thunder

green=wood

brown=earth

purple=darkness

fat characters get their phs.eva stat modified by -1 and their heart stat modified by -1

tall characters get their heart stat modified by -1

skinny males get their body stat modified by -1

fat females get their body stat modified by -1

females get their mag.atk stat modified by +1 and, if they are not tall or fat, their heart stat modified by +1

and a tip for stat point allocation If your character has low hit their attacks will miss a whole lot so you will probably want to boost hit the most and then boost your character's strengths

In pcsx2 Click File > Run Elf. If you see a black screen press F9. There will be some "menu" options. Just press start and it will load the game.

I've unlocked data drain but i dunno what to do to keep the story going offline. i don't have any new mail or anything. how do i get gate hacking?

do the tutorial with bear and bt

after that log out of the world and check your mail for the "congratulations" message from bear

then log back into the world and mia will be there

invite mia into your party

access the chaos gate and select words list and go to the words with the check next to it

mia will teach you how to use data drain and then log out

mimiru will appear and give you her card

at that point you have data drain and can exit game and come online with it

btw when you're in game open your menu and set up shortcuts

you can hotkey skills to spam them without opening menu

The adapter setup disk didn't detect my connection. I didn't try the game itself because I'm assuming you need to set up an account with the disc before you try online. Not to dissuade any other anon from trying. There's probably a tutorial on how to do this in some obscure pocket of PSX-Place.

the chat lobby works, the netslum status webpage is buggy and doesn't always show everyone in the lobby but in game is fine. you just cant open private chatrooms or make bbs posts.
