It's also far easier to spread good information, and have it reach far more people near instantaneously. There's more info, and it's generated by a rapid pace today, but - and I'm talking broad strokes and generalities here - people are more accustomed to and adept at disseminating good information, and changing their minds when presented with contrary ideas which better fit the evidence.
