I have one and really like the concept and configuration tool.
The thought put into how they utilize the hardware to simulate every kind of input and output, is impressive.
That being said, I would never use it over a mouse and keyboard, but I do use it over other controllers for gamepad games. It's really power efficient, and comfortable in my hands. Plus it probably has the most buttons out of all the gamepads I own. So I can just use 1 pad for several types of games, and the configuration is all handled automatically if I configured it at least once.
That being said I probably wouldn't recommend it. I like it, but I don't know how many people need something like that, it's very different.
Like switching to dvorak or something.

I've used this before. Not sure how it compares now to the modern steam config tool though. It may be limited in its abilities in comparison. But should work.
