Depends on their intelligence and some prior knowledge (seeing the owner playing it) probably. Still a cute video though. I love videos of animals interacting with human tech.

I assure that some animals can be complete shitters and they are fully fucking aware of it. We have a cat right now that when his food bowl is empty, sometimes completely full (depends on if he wants to be a bastard or not), will swipe it off the banister we have it set on (so the dog can't eat it) down the stairs. Our dog on the other hand is a complete goober that unintentionally uses her tail as a whip. Wagged it so hard when she was a pup that she bloodied a door frame.

Cats go into enclosed spaces because they feel safe, so shit like sleeping in glass bowls or cardboard boxes are survival instincts that just so happen to make them feel happy when they indulge them. likewise sleeping in high places or going to high places also makes them feel safe, since high places allow them to scope out an entire room, and sleeping on top of something keeps them relatively bug free. Swiping shit off of a table is for fun. Cats are known to do shit so they can have fun, even playing with prey.

My cat slept in a spare litterbox in the basement because she wasn't used to the new home so I instead took her to my room and put her in a bed, pet her and gave her treats, and she stayed in that bed to sleep after 2 weeks. If you use a bottle, they'll just shit in your house.

If you throw your cat expect them to scratch the shit out of you, and I know you don't because you haven't been mentioning that at all. Cats aren't good at associating events with other events, they have good long term memory but they're scatterbrained on the short, so a good week will change their habits, while a bad one just gives them trauma and no real effects you actually need.
