Well it could be considering all the tabloids that are coming out in their defense. Some CA mod was on the forum deleting certain posts. Specifically, posts that make reasonable arguments against historically inaccurate remarks by CA and its fanboys, such as "Boudicca was a general" and "female Kushite generals" make sense.

Whether this is just a way for CA to save face with a convenient bug is irrelevant to the fact that the company is full of dumb cunts that care more about a message rather than the quality of their games. To the point where they'll silence people who call them out on it to try and snag more sheckles out of unsuspecting rubes.

Community managers are basically just glorified forum mods. Anyone who had a skill that's actually worth something would be hired for that skill, not to babysit the Steam forums. 6 months ago CA added female generals to certain factions at 10-15% spawn rates, and ancestry mechanics that further increase the rate of female generals beyond that; all wives and daughters are eligible to be hired as generals. The autists who play these games were pissed as it's clearly not historically authentic, and because CA is spending time on this garbage rather than fixing the many bugs. Just recently some (((community manager))) replied to the six month old complaint thread on their forums and said that if you don't like the changes they made to the game you already bought, you should stop playing it. That caused the current blowup.

1. The devs recently added in an update where it spawned female generals.

2. People thought that it was historically inaccurate because there weren't female generals in Rome.

3. Devs defended their actions as being "historically authentic" and lied about their consumer base being ebil natzees despite it being initially marketed as a historically accurate RTS.
