Phantasy Star Online is the Sega equivalent of 'Ocarina of Time':

For console versions of PSO, everything except the Xboxhuge port can connect to a private server with simple DNS spoofing. However, you should probably look for the "Blue Burst" port on PC instead, as it's the most 'complete' version and the easiest to get working.
