This has to be the third or fourth game I've seen in the past few days since E3 where the dev has openly said that they don't care if non SJWs don't buy their game. Now, with a name as massive as Battlefield, it's not going to matter if they lose a few hundred thousand sales, but the smaller devs should probably ask Tale of Tales (makers of indie flop Sunset) how the tactic of shitting on people who buy video games worked out for them.

This is a brilliant move from on DICE's part – pushing the message that women played an important part on the frontlines of World War II in order to encourage women to join the military and bolstering national forces. I really have to hand it to them.

Soviet women did actually participate in the war. In the Russian campaign of Call of Duty 2 one will (audibly) follow you around as a squadmate during the siege on Berlin.

No, aside from the Russians and the French Resistance, there really were not women in frontline combat. Some were TRAINED in frontline combat, but were never deployed, and were largely used as morale boosters and war bond advertisements. Which is why pretty much every single WWII game prior to [[current year]] that wanted female characters either playable or as prominent NPCs scrapped the bottom of the Russian/Frog barrel pretty hard. Even in those examples, they were such a minority as to be an oddity.
