It came out? I stopped paying attention to it the moment bamco got confirmed for being in charge of the game. Every anime game they pump out is either extremely effortless or a DLC cash grab.

let me drop some autism on how to beat this game ez (even on very hard), also i lost my save file & recording, but overall this game fucking sucks the va for the ghost; molly and the fact that she is a NIGGER haunting the academia for 200 years lmao

damage: there's the metoer smash, the fire that rains down and the rapid FIRE (THE BEST), all three can be found at luna nova tower after levitating on first magic sigil (make sure to have a silver key & gold key), the metoer smash is just an extra fire spell to use while rapid fire is on cooldown and is better than the rain but requires maxing out the fire rain.

But the rapid fire, it is *THE* god-tier move to have, it spawns a shitload of fire and tracks onto any target closest, kind of random) but the damage is huge and can easily get into the thousands. To tell you how overpowered it is, a single cast is almost all you need for rooms and bosses with the rapid FIRE. EVEN IF YOU MISS or shoot it too early, it will still track onto any new enemies on-screen. You just have to bear with the long cooldown and throw a meteor or rain fire for the meantime. There's also extra weak fire spells to get the ball going like the fire arrow and the six fireball thing, but they're weak.

Finally If you picked up amanda as your main, you can get the BEST OF THE BEST skill "FLAME RONDO", go to the east laundary and transform to a mouse, open the bronze chest and become GODLIKE as you stack up damage whoever is in front of you in an array of attacks then screen clear anything in front of you and deal a lot of damage if you set the skill right, this is useful for bosses that fly away or have a set amount of damage they can take in one second, since amanda's FLAME RONDO is a cutscene skill, it can deal as much damage as it needs to and the bosses can't do anything about it.

buffs: anything that increases fire damage, mana regen or the curse shield. although they are not a must have

heal: circle of healing.

Overall just go with 5 fire spells and either buff your fire, get more mp, get stunned less or never say die.

You might have noticed, every spell is FIRE, because well FIRE inflicts burn and a lot of enemies are weak to it and only a few are resistant to it and it's even more rare to find an enemy completely immune to FIRE. But you can pocket sleeve some ICE spells if you're worried about elemental matchups. Also it's easier to eyeball items to only focus on increase to fire magic and decrease to fireball cooldown.

You also cannot CRIT with magic as you can CRIT with normals, unless you want to max out luck and prove me wrong, you probably don't have any damage to suffice the rng.

Having good air normals is important early on since almost every character has the desirable 'spam 3 air heavies' and is pretty much the fastest way you kill something if you:

jump, heavy, jump, heavy

jump, light/medium, heavy, jump, light/normal, heavy

Depending on the air heavy's animation, there's a bit of a delay before being able to use it again (probably runs off some global timer), you have to pull off another air medium or air light, unless your air heavy is slightly slow like amanda.

you probably want air normals that keep you in the air that deal a lot of damage and have some utility as well, since the most annoying bosses are the ones that you know, stay in the air.

but you also want an air normal that drops you down really fast, but netiher character have both.

unironically mobility isn't important since you can move down (like have you ever played a beat em up?)

this game isn't very hard, infact you're trying to beat the terrible game as fast as possible, so you want to at least speed up how you kill bosses and waves of enemies, magic is extremely good for that once you have actual damage and quickly outpaces all of your normals, items and specific spells and the only time you hit with your normals to gain mp back or enemies are IMMUNE to FIRE.

characters that can air dash have different air normals after air dashing, but cannot jump a second time if you jumped then air dash, you cant jump again. so yeah think a little.

ranked in order, but there's a huge power gap after diana. you can choose whatever character as magic truly rules and breaks this game later on.

There's a lot of groundwork for world-building in LWA but it isn't expanded upon. Before the main plot regains traction around the 8th or 9th episode, there's many interesting details that are laid out and makes you wonder how they're going to be used later. Probably the biggest one is how politics and magic seem to be incompatible.

In the episodes where Andrew is introduced and where they bring that dead guy back we get a major introduction to how magic was so revered at one point before and after the witch hunts. Then after the industrial revolution magic fell out of favor, presumably because it wasn't as needed anymore. Andrew's father considers witches enemies and before the end of the series it looks like the only way for Luna Nova to survive is to use magitech to conserve energy.

Overall I'm neither disappointed or impressed by what the game offers. It clearly takes place after the 7th or so episode and wasn't going to extend beyond that.

I should rephrase that: Croix was the first person to create 'modern' magitech. And more importantly, hers was the only one that actually figured out a way to generate new power, using the noir fuel spirit, rather than still relying on the same sources. Constanze's magitech still requires the same source of magical energy as everyone else. It does not "save" anything. It lets her do things she couldn't otherwise, but an actually powerful witch like Diana can take advantage of that same power to do a lot more.

Magic and tech are shown to be used elsewhere: Fafnir, for instance, had switched from hoarding gold to being Warren Buffet (Dragon Edition). His dialogue, and a few other hints, point to the idea that other magic-users elsewhere are less "traditional" than Lunanova is. Others are a little more. People like Constanze are the odd-balls that end up there despite having abnormal ideas.

In any case, the writers weren't incompetent: They difference is, they weren't trying to justify themselves to your autism, they were writing an allegory where magic=animation is the key to the damn thing.

I've tried watching the show and am about 7 episodes in. While it's cute, it feels pretty boring. I've also heard there are exactly zero panty shots. This is despite the fact that you get a faceful of pretty boy's underwear.

All the characters are painfully one dimensional cardboard cutouts which wasn't a problem in the shorts, but is just annoying when you have to see it for multiple episodes. The show tries to be a SoL Yuru thing but in Hogwa- I mean an all girls' magic school, but nothing is funny or interesting. It's all just… incredibly boring. Like the entire series was written by a child who understands nothing of humour, creating complex characters, or writing an engaging story. And in true childish fashion the entire series is an overly excited and utterly incoherent retelling of something better they shamelessly copied.
