If they're good enough goys to use steam, they're good enough goys to use any DRM platform. Steam is just as bad as EA/origin/uplay. Don't forget the hardware equivalent of DRM (HRM?) they put into the steam controllers. Remember that they only implemented refunds because they were legally forced too.

The games themselves may support xinput it but that doesn't help with non-standard pads like DS4 where you'll need 3rd party support or to basically trick windows into thinking it's an xbox controller so the game understands it. The steam client has pretty good support for such things which is important since most games where I want to use a controller I kind of need level of detail in rebinding.

I have it because i bought command and conquer games on amazon which had a code to download off origin because, origin fucked off of steam to create origin so now i have to login to another fucking library to access my games. the worst part is none of the fucking games work out of the box so you have to download 3rd party hacks to get the fucking games working.
The only good thing over steam was they had a slider allowing you to adjust your library to your liking but it seems like they fucking removed it for these 3 buttons at the top.
