PS2 Rygar has indeed been mentioned more than usual lately, but it's only been mentioned to spite the original God of War games which allegedly were inspired by it and nothing more. They don't actually talk about the game.

I remember NES Rygar as being ridiculously hard and also it had like 5 seconds of music that looped through almost the entire fucking game. I think I beat it as a kid, though. It wasn't very good or very popular. I hope this isn't marketers preparing to dredge up another corpse and rape it.

Devil May Cry, not even DMC3, but more like DMC2, with a shield weapon that's basically a reskin of Kratos' blades. For fuck's sake, they couldn't even be arsed to change the RED ORBZZ that are used as EXP/currency
