Despite the oppressive darkness encumbering your every movement and demons running around, it really is a fun place constantly shifting and warping. Maybe hell is an alright place. I even found a nice wight looking woman whom I had a loving relationship for however fleeting it really was.
More on topic with the thread, seeing all of these constructs, I finally see why my little brother loved Minecraft so much, as much as I did with Runescape. There's so much creative potential and it must've been fantastic exploring all the many servers. A shame I only saw it as the half baked game Notch would only occasionally kick around back in 2009. The beta appeared and introduced hunger which was badly implemented, though a good concept in my opinion as it's called survival mode and doesn't let you instantly fill your health bar like a scrub. tb2t is probably the greatest server for hunting for relics of years goen by, especially since its been operational for longer than any other server. The center is just a nuclear waste, the outer rim of the waste is full of wandering griefers and cheaters, but if you escape them you reach the wastes of hunfreds of kingdoms now empty and full of holes, empty chests.
Beyond that you might spot your first tree, if you walk for an hour or so, find abandoned cottages or shelters where other users hid from the hordes of PKrs. If you get lucky you may find a portal to the nether and see thousands of old rail tracks and grand stations littering it, and if you're really lucky and wander the over world for long enough you may finally find some semblance of community playing, building a life out there

i think our civilisation is on the cusp of something…an event horizon if you will, you can feel it too, can't you? the worn out faces - the spike in suicide. paramedics are reporting less injuries but a spike in Severity, they used to see black eyes and bloody noses and now it's stab wounds and broken bones. Western Society is going the way of Rome but it seems to be happening much faster. We're rotting away at the core, I don't know what shit is going to look like in the next 10-20 years but I'm resolved to stick around through the misery, if only to fulfill my purpose as a documenter of things.
I've been reading a book called "Blindsight" and besides being a neat Sci-Fi thriller, the author pretty much predicted that we'd be very isolated 'cells' of individuals that only interact with other humans through screens. Also that people just stop trying to breed altogether
Then there is the mouse utopia experiment we are following 100% right now

Anon, there's always a reason for a son to connect with his father. I would expect a father to want to connect with his son to an even greater degree. Nonetheless, if your father doesn't seem to care for you or your accomplishments, it may be better to just cut him off. Maybe in time he'll realize that he should be with you more often. There really is no right or wrong response for you as a son, so don't take my advice if you feel its not for the best.
My father generally acted angry and disappointed with me for most of my childhood. He dropped that bullshit when I left for college and he realized I wasn't going to be around him much anymore. Sometimes people just need to open their eyes a little. I hope your dad comes around anon.

And this cycle continued. They built new wonders anew, but then they were gone, and their hearts got broken every time. And each time they started to feel less, and care less about trying the next time. And when they had to leave this world to continue their slavery in the real one, they were reminded how worthless.all the effort they put into the digital world was and how pointless the slavery that they were currently doing was, but before they were able to find a way to deal with this, they found themselves in the comfort of the digital world and of short pleasures again, forgetting all the real troubles and never being able to deal with them.
