You should probably not hate this place since it's one of the last refuges for anyone who just wants to kick back and have a laugh, and you can call a fag a fag and you can 0/10 a shitty troll without retaliation from moderation teams. The communities like you want are sadly dead, for now.
They always die when they reach a size that makes them a potential revenue stream, at which point they start getting choked with ads and they start seeking more active, impersonal moderation, which is when the power hungry lefties who love to hurt other people in more real ways than just giving each other shit, i.e., deleting their years old account or banning them from a given community they clearly enjoy. So long as the face of the community is friendly to advertisers, that's all that matters, and reasonable decent people don't tend to seek seats of power so as to enforce stuff like that terribly often.
However, if you have a personal moderator who will actively seek out the members of the community who are raising the drama and chaos and deal with them, said people will just keep coming back, and if they have a means of knowing who the moderate in question was they will attempt to dox that person and ruin their lives over it.
Basically, just like every other issue in gaming and the internet, the problem comes back to leftism being a mental disease, a cancer that is ruining everything you love. It hadn't previously been a problem because, as I said, they're not interested in community, they're only interested in money and power and using those against other people, so for a very long time gaming and the internet were too niche for them to care much about.
What we have today is the result about 10-15 years after they started earnestly trying to take shit over. We have cuckchan and neofag and autistera and reddit and those who don't agree with the newspeak rules and social bounderies that eventually built into full on communism are relegated to anonymous holes and guerrilla shitposting in enemy territory.
