I'm too cynical to enjoy this. What's happened to me, /v/? This all just seems like a publicity stunt to sell more copies of the glorified rollercoaster.

It's always been that way, you're just keen to it now. What you need to realize is that while I'm sure Sega passed down the order to "make people more interested in Sonic Forces ASAP", the Sonic twitter guy and VAs can still have fun with it, and we can as well. Just not buy the game.
