Not really no. Today you can use cheap phone for pretty much everything - internet, shitposting on chans, taking selfies and other things poorfags tend to do.

Stupid people still want something they can stick a disk into and that's it. Sure, on PC it's only a few extra steps and a dekstop environment, but they're called stupid people for a reason.

But we need the competition of all around shittier PC's that drag down the quality of PC games, or the market would stagnate or something.

Consoles have been an objectively better experience this generation than pc. Every game on pc seems like a disaster on pc, especially the biggest releases. There's always a controversy about how the ports are bad. Consoles that isn't the case. Plus you get better games in the form of exclusives. And infinite pc fat tears.

I have a good pc but i still get tired of using it. Consoles this gen are just terrible and have no worthwhile games so I went with having emulation ability.
