What Im learning from, heavy drug abuse, which is irony at its finest; is that anxiety is really just a thinking pattern like anything else.
I noticed that, at first, I was freaking out over something that felt like it was reality. But I had convinced myself that it was reality. That I should freak out, and make a mountain out of a mole hill. For no reason. Didnt matter what was really going on.
Its really a trick of assessing reality. Which, again, is so ironic coming from me. and what I love about this even more is how much I love irony I know that I go on and on about how reality isnt real, and its our own subjective perspective, etc. But within the realm of PERCEIVED reality, what we define as, "real" around us, and things we give meaning to. Its a matter of assessing such things: what's really real within the perceived reality (strictly referring to black and white, concrete, factual reality as its perceived) and what is a delusion brought on by pure negativity that alters your subjective reality? Its a simple matter of this that I've learned recently.
I went from feeling like I'd die and calling EMT, despite them saying Im completely 100% healthy by mere social interaction and checking my pulse. What had happened is that I let the negativity fester and alter my subjective reality, and it ripped me away from the perceived reality. Ergo there is cognitive dissonance as to what is real and what is false. Again, I reiterate that everything within the perceived reality is a falsehood in of itself. But its what grounds us to a sense of reality, which we can refer to when our subjective reality is displeasing us. But I digress.
What happened is that I lost a grip on what's black and white (I was a bit dehydrated, experiencing common/normal side effects of the drug I took, was in no real danger of death as no such symptoms manifested themselves in any way, shape, or form). This being said, I let go of the perceived reality that we anchor ourselves to as a point of reference; and allowed myself to spiral downward in my worry over . . . absolutely nothing.
The mind is a very powerful thing. Its our entire world within a mass of tissue, blood, nerves, synapses, etc. Its powerful enough to give us consciousness, which, obviously, projects the perceived reality around us; Shrouded in a hue of our subjective reality all at the same time.
Anyway, this brings me to my next point of psychosomatic reactions.
>Psychosomatic: "Of or relating to a disorder having physical symptoms but originating from mental or emotional causes."
A prime example of this is phantom limb syndrome. Victims will have an entire body part severed from them. For example, an arm. But the victim will claim that they feel very, very real pain in their phantom limb; Despite it not existing any longer.
How does this happen? Well, in-depth scientific explanation aside; It brings us back to how we allow ourselves to lose touch of the perceived reality. Again, this acts as a point of reference. If you lose touch of it, your subjective reality takes full control. This can go many ways though. Ranging from dark depression to full blown mania, but more notably; the source of your anxiety!
Anxiety is really just a pattern of thinking. Nothing more, nothing less. Its losing touch of what anchors you to reality. Allowing your hue of the perceived reality become more than just a personal touch. Without the black and white, grounded, perceived reality; The colors you once knew and loved . . . pale. Without the black and white to compare the color to, what good is the color anymore? Its a necessary balance. Without any black and white, there is no color.
Without either, you feel dead inside. Everything is confusing, nothing is understanding. At this point you are completely and utterly blinded by despair of your own creation. You can no longer decide what is real, and what is a product of your illness.
In closing, we go back to good ol irony!
The perceived reality of the situation, at that point, is that everything inside and around you are a product of your illness.

So you must gain a grip on the perceived reality once again. Colors will return to you, ever so vibrant. You'll have a grip on what we perceive as real, all the while casting your unique hues on it to create a beautiful balance once again. Equilibrium. Every element known to the world constantly seeks it.
This is what we must fight to achieve in spite of mental illness.
Mental illness is quite simply cognitive dissonance and a product of our own negative thinking patterns. Its not, "a deficiency of serotonin in the 5-hydroxytryptamine (shorthand 5HT) receptors, which can be "rectified" with selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors; By inhibiting the action of said receptors to kickstart them in to over-production, ergo regulating the chemical imbalance."
That, right there, is the EFFECT. The effect of a psychosomatic reaction, because your mental health is purely a product of your subjective reality. The symptoms you experience such as:

>lack of motivation
>insomnia
etc are purely a psychosomatic reaction. You feel depressed, so you feel like nothing is worth it anymore, and so on and so forth (trust me ik how it feels). This triggers the psychosomatic reactions of

>I'll create it on a sub-conscious level, that way I know something is wrong
(and yes, mental illness is very much so a concern, but Im explaining the thinking pattern, albeit loosely)
Bottom line is that mental illness is nothing more than a product of your very creation. If you can create it, you can destroy it.
Ofc, this takes lots of time and effort. And I dont have a whole lot of room to talk.
But hey, FWIW, within about 2-3 days of making this discovery; I feel significantly less anxious even on drugs. And I will continue to think myself out of anxiety, slowly, but surely.

The physical effects that manifest as a result, again, are purely psychosomatic speaking strictly in regards to depression/anxiety here, I do not wish to misinform.
This is a result of delusion. You began to believe, for 100% fact, that this is terrible and causing poor health. And yes, mentally speaking its not at all good. But physically speaking, you shouldnt have any symptoms at all. Yet you do, because you deluded yourself in to it.
This is why I said mental illness is a delusion of your own creation. Its not contagious, its not caused by pathogens, not transmittable by blood, air, water, food, etc.
Its purely birthed and contained within your head.
In a perceived black and white reality, ergo no moralities, emotions, etc. Just mass and matter, concrete substance at its purest form.
A stone wall doesnt start to feel bad one day. Conversely, it doesnt ever feel good. It lacks sentience. Provided the stone wall exists within a perceived reality of suitable living conditions, it will "survive" until time eventually degrades it.
Conversely, said stone wall is placed in very harsh and unforgiving conditions, not on a subjective basis, but an objective one in such a way as the stone degrades to the stimuli; It will crumble over and "die".
When emotions are thrown in to the mix, you could very well be given a perceived reality of suitable living conditions; yet within your subjective reality, you feel like your needs arent met because you have sentience. Sentience allows you to form that subjective reality away from the perceived one. Ergo, even if you're nourished, hydrated, and properly sheltered; You may develop mental illness anyway.

Realistically, I would've passed out at best and began breathing in my resting state again.

I feel like I'd be a genuine therapist that the mental health industry needs.
Reason why they suck so bad is cause they want to keep you in the services.
But I genuinely like to help people with this kinda stuff.
I had seen a therapist for a while, they did manage to help here and there tbf. But it ended up with them being so plastic, enabling, robotic, etc. They really just aimed to tell me what I want to hear.
And they cut my time short consistently, which really pissed me off.

Happiness is ephemeral. Kinda like playing with a doggo. Feels great, but then the feeling fades.
Contentment is more so a descriptor for your outlook on life. Taking good with the bad, happy with the sad, overall just accepting of how life will work.

this is because of your psychological defense mechanisms that do everything they can in their power to keep you content.
Also, keep in mind hue hue that this works on a sub-conscious level, you literally arent aware of it happening.

I feel like time is non-linear. It perpetually exists within the past, present, and future simultaneously. If you ask me, and this gets more theoretical, I believe the future is already being played out alongside the past and present. The past influences the future, yes, but I believe that if time didnt exist within the future at all times mindfuck, sry; then there would be no future. What Im getting at is along the lines of a destiny theory. So really, IMO, you can have the best of feelings about the future, but it wont change the perceived reality of it all. I dont believe in true free will. You dont have the true free will to stop making decisions, including suicide, as this is a major decision that affects life as a whole.
The only, very little, form of free will I believe in; is the will to change your subjective reality. You exist within your mind, as does your subjective reality. Its yours to have free control over. The perceived reality is more so set in stone. But hey, you have the choice to refute my claims with freedom. Or the choice to accept them, to any varying extent you please. The perceived reality is something that cant be changed, but you can change the view you have on it.

Well, trust me when I say this, but; I hate the idea of change a LOT, albeit its really the only thing that will help. I love the idea of change strictly pertaining to the perceived reality, more or less just giving me what I want with no effort on my end.
Unfortunately, this does not work.
You have to make a change to your subjective reality. But if you start with even the slightest of change, it can really get easier and easier.
Example being my anxiety:
I've had panic attacks so bad I go catatonic.
But over time, I insisted on changing my thinking patterns. Its very, very hard, as a learned process is immensely difficult to forget take it from an addict to hard droog lel as your subjective reality has been conditioned to this; training the pathways in your brain that this is the right way to do things. Humans honestly hate the concept of change on a subliminal level, I feel, unless it provides them gratification. Most change is avoided like the black plague because its something detestable to your subjective reality.
Example being work.
Honestly, I hate the idea of it, but to the extent of wagecuckery.
Though I did try recently. Kept a great attitude and legitimately enjoyed working as a wageslave for a while.
Problem is that, over time, this drive faded in me because I didnt keep a positive attitude. I let one too many bad days get the best of me. This led to resenting everyone around me (few exceptions, but you get the point) and detesting the very idea of getting up for work.
My remedy for this is that I want to do creative work, given my way with words and how I paint such a picture with letters alone.
Bottom line; You have to find what you want to do. We're driven to remain productive.
Again, dont seek happiness. Seek contentment.

exactly. at least you have this much down. you dont have to feel any differently than you choose to feel. whether thats choosing to remain miserable, or choosing contentment. choice is yours, quite literally.

Yes. However, I did extensive research on ADD through multiple sources. I identify with 90%~ of symptoms they list across every source I used. Mental health is quite a tricky thing to have any certainty of, but I feel like I certainly have ADD.
There will be times Im reading, and I will literally scan my eyes over the words without comprehending them. This is due to being distracted by some random thought that pops in to mind. Really frustrating and makes it tedious.
If someone is talking to me face to face, I will often times blank out, so to speak. Meaning Im lost in my head again as a bunch of sensory information heads my way without taking most of it in. This makes people pretty impatient. Even as a kid my whole life, I always claim, "I didnt hear you" but this was really denying that I didnt pay attention. My family has always been really hard on me for that.

At the same time, I feel like doing said research can, in some cases, grant validation.
I was never OFFICIALLY diagnosed with anxiety, but I know damn well I have it. (I was officially diagnosed with PTSD, which I suppose can be a form of anxiety)
I've felt improvement in regards to my suspected ADD with stim use. Your personal opinions aside; IMO it helps me stay focused, productive, overall benefits me in those regards. So I find using worthwhile.
It'd be better to be given a prescription for adderall, though, because its more, "smart drug" than it is euphoric. If that makes sense

FWIW, I reconnected with a friend that goes even further back. Day one Kindergarten best friend. Though ironically enough, the friend with shit parents I had also met in Kindergarten. He called me Mr.Poopy Pants all the time so I eventually punched him and he went to the principals crying topkek. Became friends in freshman year high school. So I get some form of social interaction at least.
